Same anon as last time I just saw the new bee dream drawing and I just really love the design the bee stings and his eyes it's such a cool design the way you colour is also really nice to look at!

I love that every time you criticises something the fans of these criticised things come to your blog to call you out for shipping dramione or liking cersei. Like calling you a hypocrite is more fun than proving you wrong about their faves. It’s not like you don’t tag as “anti” so they don’t have to read it.

Actually I think, it’s me that has the fun. It’s certainly surprising that people can spend years on this site and still have no idea how the anon ask function works.... Because it gives me the upper hand.

Usually I try to be nice and I tried in this case as well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

people think sansa and gendry will rule and be married because gendry has been legitimized. they think jonsa "don't have that kind of relationship." but gendry and sansa do? gendry who is in love with her sister, arya? sansa who values family above all will get with someone arya is love with and be the perfect queen to his king when arya always resented sansa being a better lady than her? i wouldn't mind it if arya and gendry hadn't had such a romantic vibe this season, if it'd stayed as - 1

friendship plus a bit of childish attraction, but they love each other. he proposed to her. this is something serious. gendry’s a good dude but we’ve spent an entire season with an outsider (dany) coming between the starks. i don’t need to see arya hurt because the man she loves would get on better with her sister who embodies the role of a lady that she herself never found easy and then rejected. if i can’t have jonsa, i’d rather nearly anything else than this. - 2

I seriously do not see Gendry and Sansa, not at all. If Sansa will end up with somebody it won’t be someone she hasn’t even interacted with. That would be really very sloppy - not that I would put sloppy writing beyond D&D, but I can’t see GRRM doing that.

I honestly don’t get it. Sansa is shipped and paired with about any eligible bachelor (or even not bachelor, if you think about Stannis/Sansa shipping), and yet JON IS RIGHT THERE.

Jon who fulfills everything her father promised, who fits all the fairy tale allusions in Sansa’s arc etc. Jon and Sansa who have the Beren and Luthien, Aragorn and Arwen, Odysseus  and Penelope paralllels.

I really want Jonsa acknowledged next episode, even if they don’t get to be together, just because I can’t fathom how the quagzillion Jonsa hints in the book would just evaporate into dust.

For our Jonsa thirst there will always be fic, but it makes zero sense to pair up Gendry with Sansa, and I would hate it as well.

I don’t know if there’s a better person to ask for this, but I was recently talking with a dany stan on discord, and they mentioned that a form of equal rule, not just the ruler and a consort given more power, was present in fire and blood. I think they’re wrong, but I haven’t read the book, do you know what they’re referring to?

they might refer to Jaeherys and Alysanne and Septon Barth, otherwise I can’t think of anything that would point in that direction.

The thing is, it was still a decision by Jaeherys to have trusted counsillors who also acted in his stead. It was nothing that was institutionalised.

To give Jaehaerys some credit the question of inheritance was discussed in a Great Council, where he gathered the Lords to discuss who should succeed him, when his immediate heirs had died before him, and I think this is what will be instituionalised by the end of ASOIAF.

I can’t think of anything else and imho if anything the Fire and Blood book shows that even with someone half-way decent like Jaehaerys, the Targ rule by the might of dragons was terrible. I would say it is a structural problem.

Targ exceptionalism - which they think was needed to reproduce the dragontamer genes - set them apart from ‘normal’ people and prevented intermarriage with the other lords, which in turn led to fewer allies in case of a rebellion. To prevent rebellions they needed dragons.... It is a viscious circle, none of the Targs managed to escape.
