I need to know more about your opinions on chubby Dante bc that man is absolutely has some fat on considering the amount of pizza he eats
Chubby Dante is 100% canon to me capcom told me themselves In all seriousness though, it doesn't make sense for him to be shredded 24/7. I don't care that he's a half-demon, he has a horrible diet, and spends most of his free time sleeping when he isn't on jobs. I personally think his weight fluctuates a lot between various points in his life... When he was younger, i imagine he was on the scrawny-to-average side of things body-wise, on the skinnier side more often than the average side. A combination of an active lifestyle working as a merc and only really getting a hearty meal when he went to Grue's place. As he gets older and his diet continues to worsen, i think his weight increases a bit. Between 3 and 1 i imagine him to put on a good amount of weight, but i also imagine he loses most of that during 2 and TAS from depression. (i can see Dante as the type to go insane periods of time without eating because of his depression.. and bcs he's a half demon, those periods of time are a lot longer than they should be. im thinking weeks here. and ofc when he does eat, its just pizza and sundaes and whatever else he chooses) He puts on weight again during 4 and just before 5, this time enough to be comfortably considered "chubby". Meeting Nero has given him a new reason to live and actually take care of himself for once, so he puts more effort into that and by proxy fixing his atrocious eating habits. Again, he loses a good bit of this during his month long nap in 5 though. Also loses quite a lot of weight while he's stuck in hell, they dont have much pickings down there and demon meat is gross. When he gets back from hell, is when he puts the weight back on again. He's got Vergil back, and Nero is there too, once again giving him reason and motivation to live a bit better and actually take care of himself for once, and this means eating better too. I think also, he'd learn how to cook because I doubt Vergil can. Maybe learns from Nero and/or Kyrie. (Im getting side tracked.) I absolutely adore chubby Dante, esp as somebody who is fat themself. It makes me happy to see people not only loving a character who is chubby but also preferring this version of the character too?? not to get sappy or emotional but it makes me feel good inside, and gives me hope that my body type can actually be appreciated outside of mocking and insults
