Plot Bunny:

Mr Fool time travel to the past.

However, he only existed because Zhou Mingrui fused with Klein Moretti. The moment their minds and souls fused, Mr Fool would take over the body and complete the time travel.

His enemies followed him to the past and disrupted the fusion. Thus, Zhou Mingrui’s soul ended up inside a cat. Fortunately, this also caused Klein to survive his suicide.

Later, the scholar and the cat joined the Nighthawks together.

Since then, Klein and Zhou Mingrui experienced recurring dreams about things that about to happen. As a Seer, they chalked it up as prophetic dreams, unaware that it was Mr Fool’s memories resonating with their souls due to their close proximity to each other.

One day, Zhou Mingrui performed luck enhancement ritual on a whim, which caused him and Klein to be pull to Sefirah Castle.

In Sefirah Castle, their souls fused, reviving Mr Fool. However, it was only temporary; the moment Mr Fool left Sefirah Castle, the two souls separated, leaving Klein and Zhou Mingrui with only a hazy memory.

Because of this, Mr Fool used the historical projection of Miss Justice to give Zhou Mingrui and Klein psychological cue, so they would perform the ritual and entered Sefirah Castle whenever they had a need of it.

Plot Bunny, Error Mr Fool AU:

Tianzun left behind a backup Curtain, containing Error pathway characteristics. In order not to alert his enemies of this backup, it did not contained S1 and S2 characteristics.

The characteristics were protected by Tianzun’s will, so it avoided Amon’s malicious editing and maintained its original strength and abilities.

When Evernight removed the first Curtain, preventing Klein to become Attendant of Mysteries, it triggered the second Curtain to activate.

Thus, Klein became S3 Mentor of Deceit. He instinctively created Avatars to prevent himself from losing control on the spot. Still, he needed to digest the characteristics, so he turned the Tarot Club into a heist crew, where they stole from the rich to give to the poor.
