Cordy: Good... I wanted to talk to you about something.
Raina: Oh? What's that?
Cordy: Mae's about to be 4.
Raina: Time flies. Did you want to talk about a party or something?
Cordy: No. I just thought... That it was maybe time to talk about having another kid?
Raina: You're ready for another too?
Cordy: Assuming you still want to carry it-
Raina: Of course!
Cordy: That's not all I wanted to talk about. Please don't shut this down immediately, ok?
Raina: … What?
Cordy: You know how much it breaks my heart that my Mom never met you. Or Mae.
Raina: I do.
Cordy: And the easiest and cheapest way for us to have another kid would be to go back to Asteria. Althea and your dad have only visited Mae a couple of times since she was born, I want her to know your side of the family too. And that includes the only Grandma she has.
Raina: [exhales] You know that's been on my mind recently too.
Cordy: Really?
Raina: Damon and I talk a lot more now. He wants to meet Mae, but has no interest in coming to the human world. I think being the future king has started to go to his head just a little bit… Then it got me thinking I want to at least try to mend things with my Mother.
Cordy: Think it's possible?
Raina: I really don't know. But I'm willing to try. At the very least, you're right. We need to go to Asteria. Way easier to have a kid through magic. No offense to science.
Cordy snorts at that.
Raina: Next month is Asteria's Celebration of the Untamed. That's Halloween here. It's supposed to be a lucky time. Might work to our advantage.
Cordy: Sounds like it'd be a good time to go.
Raina: Yeah...
Cordy: I already spoke to Axel about running the shop. We could take the time we'd need.
Raina: I'll see how much time off work I can get. Probably as much as I want. They love me there.
Cordy: You've got such a magical way with animals!
