If you think about it, Dulaque and the Serpent Brotherhood only showed up in 5 episodes of Season 1, same can be said about Moriarty and/or Prospero in Season 2. We'll just have to wait, I'm sure next episode will compensate for all the time without the Egyptian Gods.
That’s true, but when you think about it a show with ten episodes a season showing the villain in five of those episodes makes it a pretty even split and although I don’t remember how it was for season one but in season two, three of the five episodes with Moriarty had occurred by this point in the season. That’s not to say it’s impossible for the Egyptian Gods storyline to be bought to a good end, but on more than one occasion I’ve had a show I was in love with get so lost in transit that parts of the fandom had to willfully ignore canon storylines to actually make sense of the show they loved early on.
I don’t see The Librarians getting to that point, because one of the problems with at least one of said shows was the writer had taken on God status over both fans and the cast and they universally hated him by the end (to the point that a rather prolific older male actor used his status to complain about said creator and tell about the injustices done to his younger female costar who’s career would have been ruined had she done so herself) and I can already tell from both the current cast interactions and the high turnover rate of actors from Leverage to The Librarians and even to Dean Devlin’s other projects that they universally love eachother but I do feel like at the very least the hype we were fed pre-season isn’t quite what we’ve been given so far.
