fun fact: all angler fish you think of (with the angler) are female! male angler fish are a lot tinier and latch onto females to reproduce

so cyalm is a biologically female angler fish (unless you’d prefer them to be a tiny blind hungry parasite)

shallare: name connection only, armor-mechanic idea somewhere

signol: name connection mostly, narwhals are also cool

compale: dude. what else would they be.

ploque: name connection mostly, unprofessionalauthor thought of saw-spike connection though. smart

anshine: sheep predominantly prey to animals like foxes (stratosfear…) and/or wolves (i may be lying idk animal food chains)

ulipse: original bat, lizard fit more sand-desert thing

arrolin: name connection mostly, also baby playfulness

mino: name connection mostly (glad people like it a lot)

ixol: axolotl but one letter change also axolotls are funky like ixol

cyalm: lure also fish with voixer and yawgate

voixer: name connection mostly, fish

yawgate: original giraffe (“yawjate”), fish

pasless/morward: sibling, might want be similar (slug/worm also came to me immediately)

stratosfear: foxes are a mostly depicted as a “villain” animal in stories, like the original thinking of him being the big bad by everyone. also anshine sheep and stratos fox i think is good for shipping (angst or otherwise) haha

all pure points don’t have legs also (minus cyalm because disguise)
