hello, i hope this is not too dumb of a question, bit i've had an art tumblr for a couple of years now a d have been posting not too little over time. and while commenting on other people's posts, reblogging what i can, sticking to drawing what makes me happy instead of following trends(as that's the usual advice) i still only ever get 5 notes at most on most of my art, except for a few 65-100 note exceptions.

i know this is not a number's game but i feel incredibly alone on tumblr, and wish i could build a community of friends who i can interact with and maybe even develop a commission clientele. it seems that until now i haven't managed to capture anyone's attention though. do you have any advice to make friends on here? or at least have more people looking at my art ? i should also specify that i'm more of an OC artist than a fanart dude, so i know that also complicates things. any advice would be great :) thank you and CONGRATS on 6k! i'm thinking of participating in that DTIYS if it's not closed !!

hihiii i totally understand your loneliness and listlessness. honestly i have not been able to make any close connections via tumblr alone. People interact, but I don't really know anyone :P

All of my connections have been via discord roleplay communities. Roleplay communities are great because, since your OCs are interacting with another person's OCs, you're not only building a relationship with the other person but creating content for both of your OCs at the same time. Roleplay communities are also always fiending for art of their OCs, so they are also a good source of commissions & drawing prompts if you make good friends.

Aside from that, offering free art is a common way to gain interaction both in roleplay communities and on tumblr. For a long time, I would do free drawing requests relating to mystic messenger & other stuff. Recently, though I've stopped for a few months now, I had also done drawing requests for pokemon fusions, if the person requested had showed proof of donation to a gaza-related charity.

Anyway, good luck! It's important to engage with other people too, since if everyone is just trying to get attention without giving any, there won't be any at all :P

To most people seeing their partner covered in blood would be a sign of alert, to her, however, he looked like a painted masterpiece. Without any words, just a wide grin she takes hold of his face and pulls him closer to her.

"Utterly adorable..." she purred quietly only to briefly peck the corner of his lips, but soon and almost sneaky, she sled her lips to his own locking tight with wanting to taste every bit of him and the blood that stained him.

After all, he deserved all the praise and reward why not treat him right? Pushing a bit forward she bumped her nose a bit against his own while sliding her tongue between his lips to further explore his mouth and just to make sure he would keep coming back for more.

30. Is there something about their personality that they want to change?

Benny's well aware of how uncommitted he is to the relationships he finds himself in, always leaving the other person disappointed. Its difficult for him to open himself up the way people want him to, and knows if he could just be a bit more honest, it'd make his life easier. Still, knowing the past he's come from, he's unsure he'd ever be completely honest with anyone.

36. Would they rather be alone or in a relationship?

There's a huge part of Benny that yearns the family he never had. He knows he could create one of his own, but it's a desire so out of reach, he can't even entertain the thought. So rather asking if he'd prefer to be alone or in a relationship, it's more like he's better alone and worse in a relationship.

50. Where do they see themselves in 2 / 5 / 10 years?

Thinking about the future ahead is difficult for Benny. He knows he'll be at Ruby's in two, even five years, but ten is almost too far ahead to dream about. Despite loving his job, Benny's short lived dream of taking over the diner was the most he ever thought he could amount to. In ten years, he thought he'd be running the same ol' place with just a fresh coat of paint. Now, it was hard to tell what the future holds for him. He doesn't like to think about it, only imagining that whatever lied ahead had to be just a little bit more fulfilling than whatever he's doing now.
