Fascinating. I do not think Tina is like Rachel. Not even in later seasons when she tries to diva.

I've only written her as interacting with Burt, Kurt, Blaine, and Mike. I wrote her sweet and kind. This was slightly older Tina and in an AU where she helps Kurt out.

I very rarely write Tina lol
I rarely write Tina as well (unfortunately, my interest has always been very little, which is somewhat a reflection on the show not really that interested in her either, unfortunately.) But for this story - I think Tina is a good choice for Blaine’s friend here (Sam provides a different role) and thus she is ending up slightly in the Rachel role that I’m used to writing for Kurt.
So far, if nothing else, I think I’ve been writing her as calmer, and less self involved than Rachel. I do think she is an entirely different person. But -- partly due to not spending much time with her in any kind of writings (including meta) and because I think she is one of the lesser developed characters, trying to make sure she has her own voice that isn’t meshed with an archtype that is Rachel, is what I’m having difficulty with.
But I do agree she is different....
