Are you okay or are you just back home??

This ask is iconically accurate to my life to the point I briefly wondered if you know me or if I’m just that transparent with my rambling. Anyways yeah I’m superb I’m just back home and the neighbors cat broke into my house like an hour ago (1 the fuck am) and I discovered this because one of my cats started the most demonic deep growling from the depths of my very dark and haunted house to alert me of this cat intruder and I almost cried

Don't worry, you definitely didn't make me mad, I'm just very very very slow these days when it comes to answering asks. Between school, job hunting, and just plain writer's block, I've fallen so far behind that there are people with asks from December still in my inbox. I have anxiety too so I understand that sometimes we need a little reassurance when it comes to our worries. So here I am telling you: I am definitely not mad, or annoyed, or put off :)

And thank you so much for the kind words! Sometimes that reassurance is just what I need to keep making content for you guys and myself.

5. Books or authors that influenced your style the most.

That's a bit tricky, there's not one specifically that influenced me a lot, but more of one's that helped me build into my style (I know it sounds like the same but I promise it's not)

Like Pittacus Lore who wrote the 'I am Number Four' series, reading that helped me understand how to write more of a present tense story.

Rick Riordan who wrote the Percy Jackson series helped me understand how to convey emotion and action, and there's a book that I can't quite remember the title or author but it helped me understand easier ways of world building within the confines of a story

'Throne of Glass' and 'Fort Eden' helped with description and getting in a character's head, same with 'The Hunger Games'

I already had the basis for these skills, but I think these are the books/authors that helped me develop them the best and stood out with a few major skills vs something like 'The Testing' which helped with multiple, and while it may not seem like much while you're reading, it's because you're there while the progress is happening, so you don't notice it as much, and once you've read something like that that helps in some way, from there it's a lot of reading other's work online, writing your own, editing and being able to spot what needs worked on/changed, and figuring thing out with some help from friends or third party reviews

What's your favorite trope?

I really like enemies-to-lovers.

And enemies-to-friends-to-lovers.

Actually, I think any sort of situation where the couple is an unexpected pairing by the rest of the people in the story is really good.

Another good trope is when the villain turns out be actually be the hero of the story, and I haven't seen much of it (actually, I don't know if I've seen any of it) so I've started writing a story about it.

Angst caused by something a character said or did in the heat of the moment when with a person they're really close to (followed by the proper fluff ofc). Villains being playful and having their own lives and living like normal humans as a group of people that are really just chaotic neutrals. Maybe it gets crashed by heroes who think they're scheming something and can't believe the villains are human and act like it sometimes. When one character tries to be there for another but is forcibly pushed away by the other or some outside force, and in a desperate and/or dark moment is actually there for the person and helps them out of a panic attack, or saves them at the last second, or is just there no matter how much it might seem like they weren't.

All of these are really good tropes, (and some are cliché, I know, that's why they're TROPES) and I can't decide which is my absolute favorite, but I tend to revolve around enemies-to-lovers a lot so we'll go with that.

Essentially, anything that goes with the quote "It's not love that makes us human. It's the ability to care for others that does."

Also GAY-
