13. There is a lot of music in Tolkien. What character would you wish to sing in RoP? What would they sing about? To whom?

This is a tough one. I would have loved Halbrand to sing something sad and melancholic, but we never got it and it's too late now.

So, realistically...

I would love a fun Dwarf song, the kind you'd sing when drunk. Durin, Disa and Narvi seem like they would be up to it. :-) If they would talk Elrond into joining, it could be fun!

And I would totally love to hear Poppy sing again, too! Could be something fun AND sweet for Merrimac. :-)

Happy STS from @mayawritesbooks!!! What is your favorite part about storytelling? When did you start? Tell us when and why, the origins of your craft!

@mayawritesbooks I answered in another ask that I absolutely love the concept of making something out if nothing. The idea that words could birth entire worlds and people and stories is fascinating. I don't know when I started. My love for stories began since I could read, and I've been writing stories since I was 6 (when I had better access to bundles of paper and became more introverted. Moving countries dies that to you). I quickly fell in love with creative writing during elementary school whenever we would free write and I'd end up making stories that are probably more fit for novels than short stories with how convoluted they are XD I had a brief stint in writing on wattpad in it's early years before it started wanting money, and it gave me huge insight on what I could do as an unpublished writer. Since then I've been writing on and off, mostly short stories, snippets, etc. But I've been attempting to actually write and finish a novel. It's been slow going, but I'll get there

1. How did you find out about Rings of Power? What was the one thing that drew you to the show?

I can't remember anymore how I found out about it, but it was very early on, when it was announced that Amazon would be doing a LotR show. Later on, when it was revealed that it would take place in the Second Age, I was SO thrilled, because that meant that no matter what plot they would choose, I would get to SEE Sauron in person. Which answers the second half of the question. And oh, I did get my wish. And in a much better way than I ever hoped. Also, in general I was happy that there will be more Tolkien on screen! As surprising as it may be, I am interested in more than just Mairon. 🤣

16. Name three characters that have dog energy and three that have cat energy.

Dog: Ontamo, definitely. Isildur, too. And Elrond. They are all adorable puppies!

Cat: Mairon, of course. Colour: orange. Galadriel, too. A white one. And Adar as well, a black one that is surprisingly gentle even though it might bite people who would treat him nasty!
