Hi! How do you make such high quality gifs? I use Windows Movie Maker to make short videos and then turn them into gifs with an online app, but I'm not entirely pleased with results :(

Hi hi!!! Oh, as gifing tools I use only VLC player to get the clip/frames that I want and Photoshop 2020 to make the gifs. I explained in a previous ask I did a little mini tutorial about how I handle the 10mb size limit, and in it is also part of the process how I make them, but before that I also have a tiny tutorial about sharpening and it's the most important step to make the gifs look sharp and crisp before you start doing any coloring. Hopefully it's helpful to ya or anyone else that's learning to gif. I have to mention, there's TONS of incredibly detailed gif tutorials around here that can also help you out, by far more talented gif makers that use different tools or methods, it's all about what suits you the best and which process you enjoy the most while making them. 8. What accessory would you like most to own? (sword, brooch, crown, etc.)

I have answered this a couple times, but I decided that each time, I'm going to collect another accessory, so this time I'm claiming Mirdania's bracelet (shown on her right arm below - I love a dressing room selfie). It's super cool and I wouldn't have to make my own for that cosplay (which will save hours).

17. What do you think “Halbrand” said to the warg puppy?

You know, I can't say I thought about it much before - but probably something like "That guy has a tasty treat inside his rib cage. All you have to do is..." Sauron is, after all, the Worst™.

lol yall are gonna hate this, these are basically all angst/fucked up-- a stained glass variation of the truth aka the Silver backstory: 

This is my fucking... heart and soul. A character study and a writing exercise, just one potential “what happened to Silver,” by no means a definitive take since that doesn’t exist. But I wrote this to get into his head more, or to have him get into mine maybe lmao, to fully embrace and understand him as a character as much as possible. It was hard, excessively researched, gave me fits, and was fucking PAINFUL EMOTIONALLY lol but I love it to pieces.

This might actually be the piece I’m most proud of from a technical and story angle. Got to explore the Howell-Silver dynamic the way I always wanted while executing the hanahaki trope in... a very Silver-y way.

Funny, sweet, and sad all at the same time. The baker Flint and guitarist Silver rom com, complete with an INTENSIVE beat for beat structure that like, god I’m so fucking proud of. I love this verse intensely, basically the only time they get a happy ending :P

hand in unlovable hand aka The Worst Ending AU:

What it says on the tin lads. What I find to be the most likely interpretation of the ending of Black Sails and my first true collab with Brinn. Holds a very special place in my heart and it’s guaranteed to break yours.

darkness in his fingertips, eyes just the same aka Kill Billy:

I finally got to kill Billy Bones and “fix” canon, in a sense. MadiSilverFlint budding ot3, just... full on Dark Mode Silver which was... so satisfying to lean into. This may be the most cathartic thing I’ve ever written.

(This ask came ages ago and APOLOGIES for not replying to such a nice one; it was just accidentally deeply weird timing for completely other reasons and I ended up leaving it so long I didn't know what to do about it.)

Always a hard one to answer - I've written a lot, and happily, I do still have a bunch I'm quite pleased with! But I went with the first five that stood out the most as I worked my way back. (Tomorrow, it would probably be a different list.)

Farewell Tour (Written recently for Just Married; Three/Brig/Liz accidental marriage with alien planet worldbuilding. Still v happy with it overall.)

it's the rain that will strengthen your soul (Obidala fic, AU Post-RotS; written for Space Swap 2020, and probably still the best thing I've written in the last couple of years, although I actually also really like Anomalies and the little wingfic AU out of the Obidala stuff that I wrote that year. My response to the Pandemic and DW's TImeless child was apparently "write inordinate amount of Obidala fic for the first time in 20 years of shipping it". <3)

I Do, I Do, I Do (The Month of Sundays Remix) (Written for Remix; in which Thirteen accidentally serially marries every one of her past selves, for reasons. Because I am always happy when I pull off actually funny, and comments would suggest I did.)

Autumn Mourning (The Falling Leaves and Elephants Remix) (another Remix, for the previous year, for Blake's 7/DW, Orac-TARDIS, from a fic by lycoris. Still happy with it. Well, it's very unhappy fic, so I'm still unhappy about it. ;-p)

i love the rose both red and white (Written as a Yuletide treat a few years ago; Henry VII/Elizabeth of York, SotT, still very proud of all the research that went into it, really.)
