I was on nice sunny walk on weekand so on this occasion cool fact about flowers
Some plants change color of the centre or whole flower to signal that they were successfully pollinated and no longer offer nectar reward. This prevents unnecessary visits from pollinators and allows them to focus on unpollinated flowers. It is also a way to protect the delicate ovule - if there is no sweet nectar insects have no reason to look for it, so the risk of damaging the ovule is lower. In this way plants conserve pollinators' energy and time, creating a mutually beneficial relationship.

#nature in my backyard. I just learnt out that #anthecology is the study of pollination and the relationship between flowers and their pollinators! #honeybee #bee https://www.instagram.com/p/CPF46GKpCSH/?utm_medium=tumblr
