You can argue that what Anthony did is racist towards the Shadows, I mean in the sense that he's not respecting their kind even though they're highly developed and NOT DUMB, I mean you can say that Shadows deserve equal rights just as much as any species do, Anthony however treats them like tools and animals, sure he can say Shadows were also to blame for human mistreatment but THAT doesn't really excuse his actions towards the members of their Kind as well, we can sue him for Animal Abuse with that though if he's considering them as a species of animals

The civil debate they can have, I mean Shadows are just as smart as Humans are and imagine Shadows also making compelling arguments that they're not wrong cuz it's their Nature

Shadows are interesting, they ain't just the one-dimensional "evil" intelligent species that has been in Fiction since FOREVER, even though there's no good or evil species, they're just living creatures

The things I want to do with my OC Roise is to explore a Shadow Adult's complex Life, since we barely have any deep look into the Adults of Shadows House, so I tried to fill in the blanks with her as my Muse, she's an extra to the main canon narrative while being her own Protag of her story, I think that everyone is the protagonist of their stories and it's a good way to explore them

Roise has her plot planned out to portray her Life since she started as a child all the way to being a 3rd Floor Adult

And ofc her messy relationship with Anthony and it's really horrid, cuz Roise is literally just existing and Anthony basically saw her as his Muse or whatever idealized image he has of her, all because Roise has some outstanding differences compared to other Shadows on her level, well one of which is that Roise sees Anthony for Anthony, she always has difficulty blending him with Christopher and treat them as totally two different beings, which is why Anthony is obsessed with her, believing it's Love, because Roise sees him, there aren't many characters that fully understand Anthony when I think about it: They seem to understand parts of him, not entirely, but Roise understands him to his core, I would also give Anthony some gentle treatment just to further understand his character since well, Anthony feels worse in my Fanon, it's like giving this guy someone he can love with all his heart and basically it turn into a nightmare

Plus understanding Anthony by looking past his dark part is really something, you can say I and Roise herself finds him rather pitiful, pathetic even

It may be cliched but I always follow Anthony's canon characterization closely while making my Fanon version of him so yeah, this Anthony isn't too far off from the OG Anthony, only that he got something that should never be near him: A love interest

I suppose giving Anthony someone who fully understands him is out of my pity towards him because it seems that in Canon, there will probably be no one who truly understands him at all, neither Jeremy, Kate and Alfred really understand him, characters supposed to be the closest to this guy seem to understand him well, it's not a bad thing really cuz Anthony is a freaking menace and I can't blame Kate cuz she's a child and still has a lot to learn

It may be a huge bias of mine but I suppose monsters should get their chances to be understood, even if it's proven meaningless in the end, that's why I gave Roise to Anthony, a Beauty who understands him, but even so, it doesn't mean she'll ever agree with him

Anthony is such a great case of a Villain, I hate him but is he a fascinating subject to write, he's like my psychological horror study case

Also just to add something. Yeah, I agree that the adult wing is quite fascinating, I wished they had done something more with it. Maybe Thomas will give us glimpses into the adults life eventually.

I actually just wrote a post about the First Floor Shadows because I find the link between being an adult and unification quite interesting. The fact that all of them were basically forced to kill a human without realizing it is quite disturbing and I would have liked a more in-depth look into that. Right now the manga seems to portray everyone in the adult wing as evil, coming from a manga that gave us Patrick and Douglas is quite strange, because all of them were brainwashed and forced into unification, so I would have liked a bit more nuisance, but who knows, the story is not over yet.

Anthony is quite the subject, although I have to admit he was a bit more interesting when he was more morally grey. Since we already have an antagonist, having Anthony in the middle and not totally evil could have added something more, but we'll see. And since Shadows House has always been very detailed with its portrayal of cults, I guess having a character that was raised with such a superiority complex because he's supposed to be the successor, is an interesting addition to that topic. I just wished they had shown it a bit better, because from his flashback it really seems he developed his superiority complex all by himself, while everyone else was telling him to stop, not really encouraging him, because they mostly show us the parts of the story where every member of the Mirror House has given up on the cause. It's said that ever since he was a child he was told he was special, but not really shown that much, so I think it falls a bit flat. But the story is not over so we'll see what they do with that.
