Watched Zootopia 2 and wanted to try my hand at anthropomorphising my own snake character, who I named Jet.
I decided to choose one of my favorite snake species for Jet, a banded kukri snake (Oligodon arnensis), also known as a russet kukri snake or common kukri snake.
Banded Kukri snakes are classified as least concern under the IUCN.
All Kukri snakes are non venomous with specialized teeth placed near the back of their jaws. These are designed for slicing, and are similar in appearance to their namesake, the kukri knife, with these teeth they can cause just as much damage, if not more damage than a venomous snake in some animals.
In humans, these bites can cause excessive bleeding.
Jet is a young adventures Kukri snake wanting to prove herself in a world that deems snakes as dangerous and untrustworthy.
Her teeth certainly don't help with this stereotype as they regularly scare others off when she instinctively shows said teeth off when scared or angry.
Jet tries her best to prove others wrong, wishing to prove that snakes are better than what others think, but unfortunately she goes at it alone with little help from anyone around her due to their not being any snake communities around her.
