Another Artfight attack!

Character is named SALAD and is an Anteater (Vermilingua). They belong to StickyyJjam on Artfight.

All Anteater species are classified as least concern under the IUCN, except for the giant Anteater that is classified as vulnerable.

Unique fursonas ate always do much fun to draw, and upon seeing such a cool Anteater fursona, I had to draw them, especially with how fun and colorful their design is.

I had fun with the drawing, I always love drawing colorful characters, and it gives me an excuse to use some fun gel pens for the hair.

There are 4 species of Anteater, they lack teeth and have a diet that primarily consists of ants and termites, due to this they crush insects against their palate and their stomach has hardend folds to help grind down and began even further.

Anteater fur is very thick, helping to protect them from any angry insects trying to defend their home from the Anteaters' dangerous claws.

The first Revenge I did for artfight and my first didgital peice.

Character is named Azrux and belongs to Neovic on Artfight.

The pose was a big thing on this piece, as I wanted to try something interesting and a bit different. It took me ages to achieve the pose, and im very happy with how it turned out, even if it isn't super visible with all the shadows surrounding Azrux.

Azrux was extremely fun to draw. He took me a while but turned out pretty good. I don't typically draw anthropomorphic characters that aren't preexisting species, so this was a bit far out of my comfort zone.

Another Artfight attack!

The character is named Michelle Moray and is a Moray eel (Muraenidae). They belong to AbyssalParadox on Artfight

Most Moray eels are classified as least concern under the IUCN.

I always love seeing unique Fursona species, so whenever I see one, I just had to draw them, and a Moray eel is definitely unique!

The coloring on Michelle was so much fun to do, and I'm extremely happy with how the piece turned out.

Moray eels are a family of fish with approximately 200 species, and despite their name and common knowledge, they are not actually eels but fish.

They live in temprate and tropical waters across the world. Moray eels mostly reside in holes in reefs, hiding to wait and ambush any prey that swims by. They can even tie their body into knots to anchor themselves when tearing at said prey.

Moray have to regularly open and close their mouths to pump water into their mouth and over their gills, this is because they lack boney covering over their gills to protect them.

One of my favorite Moray eel facts is that, similar to most fish, Morays have a second set of jaws, called pharyngeal jaws, hidden in the back of their throats. Moray eels, in particular, have unique pharyngeal jaws that can shoot forward, like a bungee, to help them hold onto and pull prey back down their esophagus.

The character is named Magnolia, a Mudwing oc from wings of fire, character belonging to lavender_sky_art on Artfight.

I often struggle to draw Mudwings, but still really love drawing the tribe, so I knew I wanted to draw at least one for artfight and as soon as I saw Magnolia's design I knew she was the dragon.

The spots were the hardest part of this piece for me, but I really love how they turned out.

The character is named Clearwing, a Wings of fire Silkwing oc belonging to RosemarytheHivewing on Artfight.

Clearwing had a very pretty design, and I don't draw many Silkwings either so I just knew I had to her.

The gradient on her neck was the hardest part for me to achieve, but I'm happy with how the piece turned out, I think she turned out absolutely gorgeous.

Posting my first Artfight attack!

The character is named Gefahr, he is a Bush viper, and belongs to 1_T33TH_1 on Artfight.

Gefahr is such a cool character, and I don't see many snake oc's, let alone Bush viper oc's, so when I spotted Gefahr on Artfight, I just had to draw him.

Bush vipers are all members of the genus Atheris. Bush vipers are all located in Sub-Saharan Africa, with most species being arboreal ambush predators with keeled scales that give many a spiny appearance.

A prehensile tail is common within the genus, and unlike what most typically expect for reptiles, Bush vipers give birth to live young.

Fox finally has a ref sheet!

Fox is my fursona, and I finally decided to make him a ref sheet, just in time for artfight as well.

Fox is not a fox but a Black-footed ferret (Mustela nigripes) and a summoning demon, which is why he has some abnormalities for a Black-footed ferret.

Black-footed ferrets are classified as endangered under the IUCN.

Black-footed ferrets were once thought to be extinct, before before being rediscovered in 1981, the mustelids live in grasslands with up to 80% of their diet made up of prairie dogs. They mainly live underground, being rather elusive in their native habitat throughout the Great plains of North America.

Being a demon as well as a ferret Fox has powers, specifically telaportation powers, due to his status as the summoning demon. Most of his abilities are related to telaportation, with Fox having the ability to telaport himself, other people, and objects.

A fun random sketch page that's a little old, it's just me just doing random sketches and testing out my new acrylic markers.

The page includes:

- Sketch of my fursona Fox, a demon Black-footed ferret (Mustela nigripes).

- Rough acrilic marker piece of a Wood duck (Aix sponsa), also known as a Carolina duck.

- Rough acrylic marker piece of an apple

- Rough acrylic marker piece of a non descript glass frog species

- Random dragon sketch

Black footed-ferrets are classified as endangered under the IUCN.

The Wood duck is classified as least concern under the IUCN.

About half of all glass frog species are classified as threatened or worse under the IUCN.

I had fun just testing things out with the markers and even drawing Fox again since it had been a while.

The new markers were smooth and very opaque, different from anything I've ever used before, so it has been some trouble getting used to.

So I watched the Gameoverse pilot yesterday and loved it, so i decided to draw my favorite character, Gobbles the learnasaurus.

If you haven't seen the pilot, please go watch it on YouTube, it is great with stunning visuals and a solid story for the pilot. It seems like it will be a little bit more episodic, but with a solid storyline running through.

Gobbles was my favorite character in the pilot, I loved how he came from the teaser trailer and how his arc went through the episode. He also had some of the funniest moments in the episode.

I know Gobbles is a learnasaurus, but that obviously isn't a real dinosaur, so I based him mainly off of a T-rex with some features from other species. But he is mostly Tyrannosaurus.

I used acrylic markers for the body, which was new, so that's fun. I love I drew small individual scales all over his body, which took so long, but I love the texture it brings.

A little bit of a late post, but I really wanted to get something out for ANZAC day, so I decided to draw a red Poppy.

During World War 1, red poppies were one of the first plants to grow on the Western Front, blooming across battlefields. They inspired a Canadian medic named Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae for his poem, Flanders Feilds, which recalled red Poppies on the graves of soldiers

The Red Poppy since has become important symbols of remembrance where people often wear poppies and place them on graves, roles, and honor boards on days of commemoration. Like ANZAC day or Remembrance day.

It's kinda funny to me that I spend so long on my long Instagram and Tumbler descriptions, filling them with facts about my charcter or the animal species I drew, spending ages researching for yet hardly anyone reads or sees them.

Seriously I regularly go through scientific papers to make sure those things are as accurate as can be

Oh well I guess they are just for me then. I do enjoy researching for them.

Even more didgital art, this time depicting another favorite animal of mine, an Indian Giant Squirrel (Ratufa indica), also known as the Malabar Giant Squirrel

Indian giant squirrels are classified as least concern under the IUCN.

A stunning animal found only in India, Indian giant squirrels can reach up to 1 meter (3 feet) long, making it one of the largest squirrel species in the world, with colours and markings that vary between individuals.

They live in moist deciduous forests and evergreen forests, where they spend the majority of their time. Individuals can leap up to 6 meters (19 feet) or more.

It is unknown how old wild individuals can live for, but one captive individual once lived up to 20 years.

Some long awaited furry art for everyone.

It was originally going to be a quick sketch of a Bull terrier lady and a Military macaw (Ara militaris) man but I didn't like how the macaw was turning out so I didn't finish him.

It has been a minute since I drew some anthropomorphic animals, so I wanted to try a dog and a bird, neither of which I have drawn anthropomorphised before.

A very distinctive looking breed bull terriers are identified by their egg-shaped head, triangular eyes, and robust body. The breed is stubborn and independent with an even temperament.

Military macaws are an eye-catching bird about 60-70cm in height that occupy a large but fragmented range, found from Mexico to Argentina, where their populations are unfortunately decreasing.

Military macaws are classified as vulnerable under the IUCN.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate and to those who don't, enjoy the extra public holiday.

Another fun glittery Easter piece for this year.

I always love an opportunity to make a collage and use glitter in my art, so this was a ton of fun.

I made the bunny this year an English spot rabbit, a breed I had never even heard of before this piece, but they are really cool.

English spot rabbit are typically medium in size, being a friendly and inquisitive breed with a coloured stripe down their back aswell as coloured ears, some spots on their haunches and color around the eyes and snout.

The last of the Queens for my wings of fire au set in the future. This time is the queens of Pantala.

Queen Sandbox and Queen Mimic are both queens in name only, their roles being symbolic rather than literally due to their tribes combined nature and is run by a council that they both hold a place on.

The dragon who becomes Queen is voted on by the Leafsilk council. When the kingdoms have meeting between all the queens noth Sandbox and Mimic are sent to reprisent the council, with their title as Queens.

Queen Sandbox is very stubborn, with only her husband Rhododendron being the only dragon known to sway the queen in her beliefs. The Queen is known to be quite conservative in her beliefs, with a strong dislike towards hybrids and dragons seen as different. Sandbox has been on the council for a while but has only gained the title of Queen very recently, so she is still trying to gain the respect of the non council governd kingdoms.

Queen Goliath is an average sized Hivewing with non of her tribes unique abilities. She holds a strong relationship with the Leafsilk council and kingdom, though she isn't very close to either of the queens. Goliath visits the council on a regular basis and has plans to expand her kingdom in partnership with the surrounding kingdom. Many dragons adore Goliath since she is seen as an extremely welcoming queen to any dragon but hybrids.

Queen mimic, an even tempered quite dragon who holds her cards close to her chest, she is highly respected by many dragons on the Council, in fact even holding the record for the longest dragon to hold the status of Silkwing queen in the Leafsilk kingdom. Despite that, though, she is not a very well-known member of the council, despite her status of Silkwing Queen. MIimic places great emphasis on the arts in her kingdom, encouraging the council to support their kingdoms artists as much as possible.
