Continued from here. For @anthxlogy - Celeborn.
Thingol began to lead Celeborn, though he turned back to look down at him at the comment about his children. He shook his head and gave him a stern look, but it was not wholly so. He held utter love in his heart for his dear young ones, no matter the mischief they got up to. One day, the younger elf himself might know some of the struggle, and he would not tease so freely then.
"Yea, Lúthien and Daeron might be compared some days to orcs and as destructive as dragons, but they are my family whom I cherish. Thou art included in this; it brings me joy to see thee again."
When Celeborn changed direction of their discussion, Thingol followed. "I have also heard from my marchwardens and my wife of their concerns for our borders, where dark things continue to creep, and seem ever more to grow in number." None of the beasts surpassed their strength yet, but the looming darkness did cause concern. It made Thingol wish to stay and keep his dearest within the Girdle. "Why doth thou surmise they are bolder now?"
