“ By some shift of airs all the mist was drawn away like a veil, and there leaned up, as he climbed over the rim of the world, the Swordsman of the Sky, Menelvagor with his shining belt. ”

In a way, companion piece to their own writing, here.
The cold was omnipresent, even so being returned to the golden light and welcoming warmth of Aman and her other kinsfolk who had not departed from it. All that Elenwë could remember from her and her husband's attempt to leave Aman's embrace was bitter cold: the nip at her nose, the frigid curl about her bones, the tingling in her fingers and toes. Then, the all-encompassing ice-cold water stabbing at her skin, so cold she could only gasp and struggle in the impenetrable dark, and she was lost.
She would not see her beloved Turukáno nor her dear Itarillë, nor feel the warmth of their hands any more.
Even here in perpetual spring, her skin felt cold, and her heart all of ice without the loves of her life there with her. Some bitterness she felt, to have left as they had, to have died so soon when she helped convince her partner to take their stand. Perhaps, they should not have. How foolish! Now Turgon was in another cold world so far away, and she had been returned like a disobedient beast. Her heart and her body ached for him, and she knew that he felt the same, there across the seas in his fortress of stone. She knew him too well, and it hurt to be apart.
Elenwë leaned back upon the cloak she had laid out in the long grass, hidden from view of any others by foliage, yet still filled with the light of the fading afternoon. Her body was slicked with sweat from her training session of the day, which she sought for in her desperate search for meaning and to escape the numbing cold of her existence. Another of her methods was moments alone to imagine her husband's presence.
Her hand slipped between her legs as she imagined his face, so handsome and intelligent, dappled by the light of their refuge. She thought of his return; of his coming back to her, here in Aman. That night as soon as they could break away, they would come together once more as they had done under the light of the lost Two Trees. She spoke very quietly, but as if he had truly returned. "My ornë, hold me close and relay to me your tales of Middle-earth, for I know there is much to tell. Was it as we imagined when we set forth at the first? What have you built? What have you seen? Were you so cold as I have been in absence of you? I missed you, love of mine. I know you missed me every day. . . every so very a long day. But now, we are together."
She moaned softly as she gently and carefully touched herself exactly as she remembered her husband would do. "I want to heal our hurts, make up to our yearning hearts. I would sit atop of you as a throne, filling myself with your warmth. Let me rub your wearied bones, curl my fingers around you as we embrace. I would that we could draw out our lovemaking until the early hours before dawn, holding on no longer to mere memory of our bodies.
"I shall no longer be the the brightly burning sun, hot as the forges of Aulë, warming you my cool husband, but your heat would flow into me, freeing me from this prison of ice," she whispered as she gasped quietly and tears flowed down over her cheeks.
How long would she have to wait? When would her beloved follow her back?
Slowly growing my collection of t-shirts that could be 1) a metal band, or 2) a Tolkien metal band, or 3) just a sickly designed Tolkien shirt. This is good. This is great.

Eyes grey like the cool mists of the deep valleys looked up, shame spreading through like a wraith, but he could not hold in the thoughts forever. "I am glad to have Gwindor, but I still so dearly mourn the loss of Beleg. A part of him is still lingering behind, I know, but - he is gone," he finished quickly, and sighed for the inevitable.
"Curse the fate that be for me, to not have both Gwindor and Beleg beside, to keep the heart warm in these dead, cold lands. Death only! I enjoy Gwindor's company as long as he will give it, but an absence is always felt.
"How I long for both the touch of Gwindor and Beleg, calloused and yet gentle hands grasping hold of me. Both showed deep care to one who has rarely felt its warmth, whether deserving of it or nay. Alas that I shall never be between the two, pleasuring Gwindor to heart's content, and Beleg behind to tend to me meanwhile, only for us to turn to him later. As they have filled my life of some other purpose for existence, I would have them fill me further. Fill me, fill my life so not all is a war. Gwindor in my mouth, Beleg in my ass. I am quieted, feeling all they wish to give to me. All that I hear is their moans, and no more terrified screams. Gwindor pulling me in close in desperation of his release, with no fear in his eyes. Beleg would follow after me as he always has, stubbornly and with all the love within. So warm he is... Always was," he said as his voice began to falter and he pressed his hand against his forehead in the dark.
"We would come together, come apart, and escape for a time from the doom that follows us doggedly. Yet I think that Gwindor would find me more of a fool if he but knew that I longed for him, yet also the elf who bound our fates up into each other."
Tuor watched his wife dance through the hall just before the feast had ended, her quick feet allowing her to simply fly about the room, charming all with her skill and grace. To some, also - not Tuor only - another, deeper interest in her movements. The Lord of the House of the Swan sat in his chair near the seat of the king himself, but remained where he sat, even as the urge to join Idril in her dance came upon him. No, he had to stay where he sat, or risk perhaps the distaste of Turgon.
He beamed at Idril after she had made her way around the whole hall and returned to her seat between him and her father, appearing as breathless as Tuor himself felt. He sat through the entire display, and did not know when he could stand up safely again, for he had slowly borne an erection that pulled uncomfortably at his trousers. His face was flushed, but it could easily be explained by the wine he had been drinking throughout the evening.
Tuor's eyes widened slightly when Idril offered her hand to him and he knew it was an invitation to rise up and to embrace her, or to dance with her, but he tugged insistently at her hand. He pulled her gently down so that she would sit back down between him and her father: a wall of protection. "I apologize, my love," he whispered but his reassuring smile returned and he held her hand within his own as he pulled it underneath the table.
"I wish not to stand up before the entire court of Turgon's at the moment, nor risk any eyes should I make my leave," he explained as he moved their hands until she could feel what made him wish to remain seated. His legs quivered slightly feeling her hand brush against him. "You are utterly beautiful when you dance so proudly, and I cannot help but think of the way you do so bare before me. Idril, we must stay here a while longer..."
