People who label themselves "anti insertxcharactersnamehere" to the point where they consider that character "the worst character ever" unironically are some of the funniest people. Especially when you realize a good portion of them are at least 25 and almost always the character they're talking about is one of the main good ones. It's always "anti this protagonist they're actually the worst, fuck that bitch", never "anti the actual villain".

You anti-[whoever] posters really do suck the fun out of fandom.

All I wanna do is go into the tag and see some nice fan art—or maybe even some official news or fan fiction—of a character I like, but instead I see y’all making pages long posts on why you hate them and their fan base.

Y’all waste your energy and time on childishly detesting a fictional character as if they personally failed you or even mattered to your real life. As if so-and-so failed to pay your bills and completely fucked up your credit score—as if they killed your pet or something. It’s unreal.

And then some of you actually slither into people’s DMs to leave such vitriolic and hateful words as if they don’t carry weight or consequences.

Over a fictional character. That doesn’t exist.

Y’all are fucking crazy. Grow the fuck up. Have an orgasm or two.

If your hate for someone fictional causes you to attack real people, you need to sit down and reevaluate your fucking life.

To any anti out there.

I know you have your reasons.

I know you have your preferences.

I know you have probable cause to be the anti of a character.

But

Never diss on a character whose traits you cannot and do not have.

Never insult a character whom you never bothered to understand.

Never belittle a character whose experiences you cannot survive yourself.

Never hate a character just because its in the way of your favored character or ship.

Because these things just make you seem unreasonable, shallow, and low - traits that I know YOU arent.

I used to be an anti. I hated her character because she was overglorified by her fans and she was in the way of my ship.

But after talking and being friends with one of her fans, I felt ashamed. She would have been such as great character if the author gave her an excellent development. She had so much potential. I felt small because I dared hate her and she didnt deserve it.

So, to any character anti out there... Learn from the other side and maybe, just maybe, you'll learn to appreciate the character you used to hate.

I didn't even know there were anti character tags til today.. like anti Stefan.. What why? why is it even necessary to show your hatred/disliking for a character, I know I shouldn't be paying attention to it but I just don't get why people do it, is it really that impossible for us to support the characters who we do like and fan girl over them as much as we want without the need of insulting characters. Sharing opinions untagged and amongst your followers is fine, but creating an actual tag where people can post insults and hate and especially hating on other fans just for supporting or liking a certain character/ship is horrible.. I know it's an "anti" character tag and I shouldn't be looking through it but it's just not necessary. I don't mind if it's like a one time thing, or your defending yourself because someone said something to you that you didn't agree with about something but doing it over and over and over again and making the fandom look like shit is just annoying as all hell. If you hate the characters don't pay any attention to them, don't give two shits about them, just ignore them ffs you're not always going to get what you want because the show doesn't only cater for what you want to see happen and you cannot control it so build a bridge and kindly get the hell over it, or get a full cup and shut the full cup because I'm sick of it.

Yeah okay I'm probably over reacting but still it just pisses me off.
