I really like Kid Flash in the comics.

And it annoys me that he was reduced to a plot device for Jinx’s redemption arc. It all felt very forced and ooc of him.

I really didn’t see anything selfless or like a redemption in Jinx betraying her team. They were basically family, and her thought process to leave wasn’t her deciding to do the right thing and leave them despite how much she cared for them since they were evil or anything like that but instead “They’re stupid and Madame Rouge who they warned me against was mean to me, also cute boy!” and she felt nothing at all during their fight. And while I’m aware the spin-off comics aren’t entirely canon, it still aches for me to read about them still caring for her and wanting her to return despite everything only to be stabbed in the back all over again with less remorse. She was a good character but Lightspeed pretty much ruined her for me :/

I ship Robstar and BBrae but always hated Cybee and Flinx. I feel like Flinx and Cybee were forced, not developed. I hate how other BBrae and Robstar shippers also ship Cybee and Flinx. I always prefered Cyjinx and Heraldbee over them and wish more Robstar-BBrae shippers also shipped them.

I don’t like most of the fandom’s big ships - Beast Boy/Raven, Kid Flash/Jinx, Speedy/Aqualad - because they all fall into the “characters with opposing personalities bicker and clash” trope. I just don’t like that trope when it comes to shipping, especially when the fandom exaggerates it so much that it’s all I associate the ships with.

The Teen Titans fandom opinions are so the same. At this point I half believe that there’s a machine out there that’s chugging out fans who ship Robstar, BBRae, and Flinx. They quickly pair Cyborg up with Bumble too in order to get him out of the way. They think Red X is Jason Todd and they also think that him and Blackfire would make a good Evil!Robstar couple. They pair up Jerikole, Hotgent, Fang/Kittens and Red Star x Panthra on the side too.. They all either hate Terra or put her and Aqualad together in order to get her out of the way for BBRae to happen. Like seriously, the ATLA fandom may constantly be tussling to get their ship on top, but at least there’s some damn variety! And it doesn’t help anything that I personally hate all of these takes and find them so cliched.
