i don’t believe that tamara saving call was as conscious as a choice as the authors led ppl to believe ngl. imagine ur fourteen years old and seeing both of your best friends lives on the line. you have a split second to save ONE of them. you don’t think, you just run
how did sturgeon know where krill was buried :0?
Azula randomly banishing people at the end of the series is likely just another plot convenience in Sozin's Comet arc. Because how else Zuko and Katara could win?
I once asked the following question on BlogClan:
Leafpool is getting plumper, avoiding others, and possibly having changes in her eating habits and/or smelling odd. She and Squirrelflight go on a journey outside the territories for a couple of weeks to look for a herb that StarClan supposedly sent her a vision about. They come back a couple of weeks later with three kits who do not look a thing like Brambleclaw or Squirrelflight.
But! Lionblaze and Jayfeather are both tabbies like Leafpool. Lionblaze has amber eyes like Leafpool. Hollyleaf had black fur, just a little darker than Crowfeather-Leafpool says straight out that she's the image of Crowfeather, and even wanted to name her after him until Squirrelflight talked her out of it-and incidentally if they're doing this whole charade to hide whose kits they really are, was she seriously planning on naming her Crowkit? But anyway-and Jayfeather has gray fur, a little lighter than Crowfeather's, and blue eyes, like Crowfeather's.
Nobody had known that Squirrelflight was expecting kits. Not even Brambleclaw or Sandstorm. Squirrelflight certainly hadn't looked like she was expecting kits. And yet she went on a journey while expecting! This was explained away as the kits being born very early. But even Brambleclaw didn't know?
Squirrelflight had no milk, necessitating the kits being nursed by Ferncloud-what did she tell the Clan they had done for the past couple of weeks while they were in the woods? And she recovered from the birth extremely quickly. And they didn't come back with that herb either!
ThunderClan isn't that obtuse. How in the name of StarClan did nobody realize anything?
The answer I got was “plot convenience.”
Ok but...
The Bad Batch episode 1
Echo sees Tarkin and later in the med center warns the others he might be trouble.
Then they get summoned for a battle test and Tarkin orders live ammo in mid simulation and that almost kills Wrecker (edit: and Tech.)
Then they get sent on a mission and Omega warns Hunter that Tarkin has it out for them but they go.
And the target was not what was expected and they got spy droid cammed.
Hunter after the episode. “ I guess we should listen to warnings from now on.”
Omega and Echo in the background staring into the camera like it’s the office.
some things i dont like about season 7
now dont get me wrong. i love season 7 and i love the time twins. it's my second favorite season, behind season 5. theres just a LOT of plotholes and plot convenience moments
1) the temporal anomaly locator
- i know why they added this, the writers needed a way for the ninja and the twins to know where the blades were. the bounty was destroyed (again) at some point too
- but they could have found another way to add it in. borg put it into his smartwatch, and that allowed acronix to know. heres the thing; the smartwatch wasnt designed just for acronix, and when would the general public need to know where time is disturbed?
2) zane was out for half a season, maybe more
- ok yes im still salty about season 3 but it felt like this only happened because the writers wanted to add more comedy and zanes randomness certainly did that
- the thing is, zanes just a tiny bit overpowered. if you think about it, they did tone down his intelligence for moments that it was needed but if he had been there for these episodes things would have been a lot different
3) pixals absence and the samurai x thing
- yes side plots help it seem more realistic but i felt like that was just a distraction from what was happening
- based off s8 (9?) we know pixal is samurai x now but idk it just doesnt sit right with me.
- nya should have let it go way sooner than she actually did. like c'mon lady i get that youre a whiny bitch with no sense of maturity but youre a ninja now and its just getting annoying (i do not like nya)
4) ray and maya
- yes im glad kai and nya found their parents. no im not glad that they were with the twins this whole time and nO ONE SUSPECTED IT???
- it feels like they were only there for the writers to be able to get the reversal blade
5) dr saunders is actually krux
- again. no one suspected anything. yeah dr saunders was so out of character for krux but in ep3 we saw how easy it was to reveal the secret room krux used. kai literally almost found it multiple times
- the way he was revealed was so dumb. krux tripped and fell on a statue and it tore off his mustache. hes been a warrior for 40+ years. hes a strong fighter and most importantly: he has balance. sO HOW DID HE FALL SO EASILY??
- and also his reaction to his cover being blown was so out of character its ridiculous. they gave up personality consistency for humor
6) lloyd being the secondary master in training or whatever it was called
- the ninja were just lowkey assholes to lloyd idk what to tell you man
7) blunch and raggmunk
- another example of great potential thrown away for the sake of humor
- i thought the vermillion generals were bred to superiority
8) krux lowkey enslaved people and bred a whole species for his war needs and i dont see anybody talking about it
- self explanatory honestly
9) the ending of season 7
- it was just so lazy imo and it left more unanswered questions
- if wu survived being shredded apart by temporal energy gone crazy why havent the twins
- krux and acronix technically still have the altered dna of an elemental master of time so it could have been that. their own element was tearing them apart from the inside out and wu just made it because he doesnt have that dna change
although the time puns every 5 minutes were beautiful this season was just. ugh. i wish it werent overwhelming and a giant hassle (as well as violating copyright laws) otherwise i would redo the whole season myself. the twins were great characters and they deserve better than this shit smh
i forgot a lot of the points i was going to make along the way because im doing this at 6am while watching episode 6 of s7 again (i wish i was on s6 just for the sake of symmetry but s6 was even worse in my opinion so)
but anyway there might be a pt2 if i remember more things
