okay part 2 of my anti “batfam meets the JL” tag is that i want to read about conner and clark! i wish jon and conner had interacted more! without running into fanon timkon stuff which is also basically riffs of “clark’s an absent father who didn’t take in this random clone immediately so bruce has to be his dad now” in different forms

They act like Kon and Clark haven't had a solid brotherly relationship for yearssss Bruce can't even parent his own damn kids. I feel this way about the kind of Jayroy fans that think Roy is joining the batfam because Ollie's evil...no girl they're going to the Queen house because Ollie is better than Bruce in literally every single way because OLLIE LEARNS FROM HIS MISTAKES AND GETS BETTER. SNOWBIRDS WASN'T EVEN IN CHARACTER AND OLLIE STILL WORKED TO EARN HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH ROY BACK.

I genuinely think so many people would actually love Dickroy over other options if they cared about Roy even the slightest amount. But most don't know him, or don't care to know him and only think of him as a potential male love interest for their fave (he gets bonus points for being a #girldad). And there's so much depth to his character that is lost on them because of that. The strength of will, the compassion, his ability to fall in love at the drop of a hat only to have his heartbroken and pick the pieces back up and try again and again. He's a fantastic character and you're missing out if you don't get to know him 🥺
