You are still right from late 2024, the dang salt fics has more attention non-salt fics. I mean I stumbled upon a fic having 300+ reviews and favorites on FFN… Hatred, sheep/mob mentality, mischaracterization (fiction and reality) and holding grudges are truly a dangerous weapon online… I deadass tried reading through it but it’s truly brainrot and OOC.

I’ll say this once and I’ll say it again: Damian would most likely tear Marinette apart rather than act like a simp for her or let her walk all over him due to her preachy attitude.

Hey, turns out the miraculous fandom really is the walking stereotype of negativity thanks to the salters these days. They seriously couldn’t let go of their Lila/Bianca/Iris hatred after all these years… sigh* they can’t stop being so self-pitiful and pathetic through their fics hm?

Yep the Lila dementality they have remains strong. Recently, I heard that at least several will actually be down for Lila if Lila puts herself down or is secretly self loathing herself.

Another awkward thing to want... Respect if devalue self…

It kind of reminds me of how fauxs started suddenly wanting to begin respecting Kagami in Ikari Gozen. Only real difference is that their wish upon Lila is or seems to be for the sake of pure avoidance of reasons given that they refuse to see. They rather paint something else over it and have it in the forefront as the most important.

Literally, what are words

To be fair, just now I ran into clearly ooc behaviour in zutara content so like the saying goes give credit where credit is due to zutara antis, likewise point at the truth and call its name.

There's ooc and mischaracterization in every fandom topic, which is logical and to be expected, and sometimes it's driven by fandom creators preferring their own taste over staying true to canon characterizations.

Personally I'm not a fan of this (read: I heavily dislike it) because if I like a story or characters, it's because how they were consistently portrayed. However zutara *analyses* that I encounter online are almost always very true to canon and not mischaracterization, and it's part of the reason why this fandom is enjoyable.

And so just to re-state, without his empty attempt at copying his father's terrible behaviour and fire nation's ridiculous machismo, Zuko is a withdrawn dork in canon who submits to Katara. And it's partially even unhealthy, because part of that behaviour still draws its roots from the abuse he suffered and that's his response mechanism when he desperately wants someone's love and approval. He stopped doing it for his dad but he copied it in his behaviour towards Katara. Fortunately she isn't characterized as someone who'd abuse this.
