Whenever you bring attention to the fact that a female character is hated by fans for "getting in the way" of a ship, specifically mlm, here comes these responses that, if we're being honest, really draw attention away from the issue at hand (which could be the point for some lowkey), such as: "Um, actually, the hate is warranted because this female character wasn't a good person in the beginning," or "I haven't seen any hate towards her for that reason [insert them immediately believing it can't exist for that reason]," or, and the most egregious out of the bunch, "Actually, no, our fanbase doesn't want her with [insert male character] not because we hate her, but because we LOVE her and want better for her than [same male character], so you really shouldn't generalize," and "[when called out for this behavior] Oh, so you just don't like queer ships huh?" But I'm supposed to believe you genuinely care about the fmc and that this hate doesn't exist? Sure, Jan.

Why is it eveytime Superman media succeds everyone's first thought is how to shove Batman into it.

Ever since superman 2025 came out the amount of superbat content ive outside of tumblr has risen and that alone would fine if it didn't seem like the only content i can get from this fandom for superman. Even when my adventures with superman came out and was genuinely a sweet show people were thinking about how to introduce batman. I feel like i can't enjoythe character because noone cares about his character they care about Batman and his stupid golden retriever boyfriend. Ok in truth this is me hating superbat. You'd think this movie being so popular it give people a new found appreciation for the character as a character but no all it is fuel for their girly fantasies.

Was just scrolling superbat for fun. When I saw hate on the tag, and at first,I was like ok, some people don't like the ship not my problem,but then I read it and I was so shocked ! Like what's wrong with these people? Like they were fighting and cursing like 5 years old throwing tamper tantrums??

Like hating on Batman/batfam just because it's the most popular ship with the supers? It's not even just dislike, like they were cursing people who like superbat and it was just so shocking

They're angry that superbat was the the most prevalent ship among other Clark Kent/Superman ships, and that it was polluting the Clark Kent fandom and what not,when in reality immature people like those are the ones who pollute good fun things for others when they cannot understand the difference between fun and stupidity.smh

I remember getting into comics around 2023 and feeling obligated to ship all of the popular ships like Timkon and Superbat, and before I started reading comics I genuinely enjoyed those ships. But the more comics I read the more I started to feel like I was forcing myself to ship them and I wasn't really seeing how they worked. Because to be blunt Bruce and Tim aren't really the best to their friends, Bruce more than Tim. I also wasn't seeing any sort of reciprocated feelings from Kon to Tim which also made it hard for me to ship them. Like I do totally see how Tim had feelings for Kon but I don't see it returned anywhere that can't easily be written off as Kon just thinks he's his best friend. And the same is true for Clark and Bruce but even less because I haven't seen anything in the comics that remotely suggests they are into each other romantically. Clark has Lois and not gonna lie she's fifty times more interesting than Bruce, sorry. Like I don't want this to come off as bashing or whatever and I'm not, people can ship or interpret things however they want, but I think there's a real problem with fandom spaces that pushes these ships and lies about how important they are in the comics when they aren't. They do love each other, but it's really not that obvious and if anything the comics made me no longer ship them.
