Uber Teen seems like possibly the worst fucking idea a business has ever made. Yeah, sure, let’s let teenagers get into a car with a complete stranger under the promise of a ride home! Definitely not a bad idea at all! Because uber drivers are totally background checked with 100% caution, safety, and accuracy and no uber driver is ever a threat!

Anyways you would never catch me letting my kid in an uber. They need a ride home, there will be a list of people to call. Uber is your absolute LAST resort.

Reminder that Uber is the sole rideshare option in many countries outside of the states and metropolitan areas. You can easily say "bye Uber" because you have lyft, ridejoy, Juno, carma and so on and so forth or because standard taxis are readily available, affordable, you have a car, live in an easy to navigate area, don't feel unsafe walking/taking public transport at night. It is very easy to demand others make the same decision you do when you aren't actually sacrificing convenience, money or safety. Also, many we know drive for Uber. Don't let me catch you trying to berate another human being trying to catch some coins to survive this capitalistic system while you're still collecting a paycheck from Child Labor Inc., buying groceries from Prison Labor Co., and getting t-shirts from Sexual Assault Accusations dot com. Your q-tips better be ethical. The Obama administration established the very list of 7 countries being banned and dropped drones like mixtapes but that didn't stop many of y'all from riding his dick. In Canada, all we have is Uber, they hold the monopoly here, and many people sadly rely on it from either side... Why is it so difficult to receive ride share these days?  Even when one manages to find a driver, it’s becoming increasingly common for the driver to drop the rider’s request minutes before he or she is supposed to pick up passenger.  Why is this becoming increasingly common?

Why do Uber and Lyft find every little excuse to jack up their rates?  One might as well hire a cab.  I had no idea they were that desperate for money.

my horrible no good morning uber ride:

i literally had the worse uber experience i've ever had since uber was a thing. get in the car with this guy. he seems pretty cool. but you can never tell with appearances. case in point, which i'll get to later. so i'm giving him the route that i prefer to take to work when he tells me that he doesn't like my route and is going to do what he wants. i'm like "tf??? where they do that at???" he continues to tell me he doesn't like my route and it doesn't make sense. this doofy looking white boy is telling me a young black woman that not only is what i say irrelevant but it's so stupid he's not even gonna entertain it. i'm like bruh that's cute and all but i'm paying for this trip and it really isn't that much out of your way.

y'all. white boy snapped. starts telling me that if i don't like what he's doing then i can get out and get another uber. i'm shocked. it's not until he's pulling over and ending my ride do i even realize how serious he is. so i ask if he has the number for customer support cuz i'm filing a complaint. he says yes then had the nerve not to give it to me. then he's telling me to get out while i try to find the number on my phone. he then tells me that if i don't get out, he'll call the cops. i grabbed my shit, said "fuck you asshole", got out and slammed the door.

it was awful. i was so pissed i was shaking all over. i was hurt and embarrassed. i'm still trying to process how my morning could have gone that far left. luckily the next driver was super sweet. but i still ended up being like 15 minutes to work. tbh i'm still trying to process what happened.
