I wish I never found out Fontcest was a thing because it lowered my opinion on the fandom. But the worst part? I found out about it (and Undyrus) in the fucking ALPHYNE tag.

Aaah, those past anti-Undyrus asks remind me of a person who said ”Undyne could be bi for all we know” but got super offended when I suggested ”Elsa was bi” too in that case and deadass called me ”lesbophobic” for it.

One of the more ”popular” people in the UT fandom shipped (and still ships) Undyrus and had ”alphyne ruined for them” and believed Undyne and Alphys would ultimately fail because their personalities clashed (as if those personality traits weren’t exactly what Undyne and Alphys admired of the other???) and wrote Undyne and Alphys HORRIFICALLY OOC on their Undyrus sideblog (like, they thought Undyne would wanna watch sports over a romcom??? And thought Alphys wouldn’t enjoy Undyne’s energy???)

i noticed a bit of a trend with undyrus shippers. they all seem to struggle with the concept that you can *gasp* learn from the other partner!!! and that being too similar to each other is not good either!!! tbh, i feel undyne and papyrus are far too similar for their relationship to be interesting. meanwhile alphys and undyne can keep it interesting by learning from each other. but that’s just my thoughts of course.

i don't know about them being too similar, but i do know that undyne does not respect papyrus enough for a relationship between the two to be healthy. their whole professional relationship is literally based on a lie. undyne is stringing papyrus along with "cooking lessons" and letting him believe that he has a shot at being in the guard, when she has no intention of actually letting him in.

that shits not okay. when you really care about someone, you should care enough to be honest with them.
