All the sexiest people are gonna vote the Tories out of office today.
I think it says something about Tory voters is what finally stopped them voting Tory in 2024, after 14 years of Tory rule.
It wasn't the thousands of deaths that austerity caused, or the millions of lives it made significantly harder.
It wasn't the closure of so many shops and entire high streets throughout the country.
It wasn't the collapse of living standards (the steepest drop since the Napoleonic era).
It wasn't the freeze on public sector pay.
It wasn't the Grenfell Disaster.
It wasn't the thousands of COVID-related deaths that could have been avoided if lockdowns and social distancing had been implemented earlier.
It wasn't the increased need for food banks.
It wasn't the sheer amount of working people needing benefits just to survive.
It wasn't the massive increase in bigotry towards migrants and trans people.
It wasn't the raw sewage being pumped into our rivers, lakes and seas.
It wasn't the year-on-year cuts to local government funding, further increasing the crises placed on health and social care for the most vulnerable.
It wasn't the wholesale privatisation and willful destruction of the NHS, causing heartache and heartbreak to millions.
It wasn't the Tory party dragging itself further and further towards the far-right, leaning into xenophobic and nationalistic rhetoric.
It wasn't the wholesale destruction of civil society.
No.
After all that, what made the Tory voters turn away? It was that Boris Johnson was revealed to be a liar, and then a budget made the housing market wobble and caused interest rates to rise.
I have learned about every important event through this meme for the last two years, but I couldn’t find one this time.
I really cannot imagine living my life being mad at everything to the point I couldn't even be happy when I'm supposedly getting everything I want. I have yet to run into a conservative individual here who genuinely seems happy with themselves. And they just...choose to keep themselves that way.

I mean, yeah, hatred does trigger me. I own that. I don't pretend otherwise. But I also choose to enjoy the things in life that make me happy.
But I don't think I've ever been upset about anything as much as these people are upset by something so simple as a guy doing a makeup tutorial. 🤷🏽♀️

In the past week I've lost several friends on Twitter who are just fed up with the pervasive anti-Christian bias of the Twitter mods. Including a brother in Christ I really enjoyed exchanging messages with over the past year and sharing content. While I understand the frustration and anger (my own account has been shadow banned since the first week I registered) and somedays I feel like, why bother? Nobody is even seeing these posts unless they visit my page directly. But I refuse to give up. Twitter can disable my account, hide every post from my followers walls or delete it entirely but I'll never deactivate it on my own. Because if even one person visits the page and see's a single post that helps direct them to Christ than all the daily updates and all the effort was worth it.
