With the Dragon Age announcement, I have to restate my belief on video games:
I do not believe any video game will ever come out until it actually comes out. You may put a date on that trailer but it is fake to me until the day after it's released.

Fever
It had been a week after the last trade that the fever had started. Low-grade at first, the doc had said it was probably just lack of sleep. Not one to be held back by a little fever, Milo had persisted in trying to get the articles he'd collected to take the shape of a newspaper. It only really became a problem when he'd started having trouble standing long enough to finish a page run, and the fevered sweat started blurring his vision.
The printer had never been so itchy before, either, even counting the time he'd touched those prickly cactus things in Paradiso. It felt like his skin itself was on fire. When the ink on the last page of the paper was dry, he fell into his bunk, letting the world become a kaleidoscope of colors and noises. Dreams faded in and out, some too lucid and real-feeling for comfort, mental fabrications mixed in with memories. Somewhere in between fever dreams he managed a sip of water and saw that someone had put flowers by his bed. He idly wondered if it had been that pleasant lady from last trade... was she Full Dead? He didn't know, but she'd made him tea, and it had been wonderful. She'd had a basket full of flowers with her, and as his memory danced around the colors and shapes of them all, he wondered if she'd want to talk to him again about gardening, he'd liked that. The colors began to spin and he dragged himself towards the edge of the bed and the waiting bucket.
There was no way he'd be functional for the upcoming Trade Meet. Whatever he'd caught wasn't letting him go anytime soon. Ezra's voice floated in from somewhere above his head, sounding like he came from underwater as he said something about the TV Guide, but Milo could only weakly point to the stack of papers. The doc had said sleep. Yea. Sleep sounded wonderful... He'd figure it out in the morning. Maybe.
this is about one year late
but what the fuck is with everybody getting upset about Trump for things like eating a taco bowl
programmers=honest guys
A programmer (like a dancer) is someone whose profession is about as far from being a politician as possible--for the art of programming thrives on honesty. Hyped words ring hollow in the ears of those who know that stuff has to be made into an algorithm. So programmers pain on hearing words such as “artificial intelligence” when what is really spoken of is just a bunch of algorithms operating on some matrices. And they pain on hearing the phrase “Do It Yourself” be applied to computers, when, ever since Texas Instruments invented the integrated chip in the 1970s, no computer has been anything but “Buy It Yourself” (even if it lacks some wires).
So Pokemon XYZ episode 12 was given more detail, and I have to say I’m disappointed. The fact that Ash and Serena are NOT dancing spelled it out as anti-hype for me. Sure they are going to be tag battling and we’re getting sylveon, the fact that I said before spells it out.
It’s kinda like the episode in that other city with the tree (the spelling escapes me atm, so I can’t give the name). The name of the episode I’m specifying is “ Ash and Serena’s first date”, and it barely felt like a date at all! Ash and Serena were SEPERATED for half of the episode, it barely felt like a date. This is what I call a dud episode, where the contents of the episode doesn’t match the title.
I feel like this also is a dud because they are not dancing. Plus when did a tripolelon pop up? We literally got one 2 weeks ago, and now we’re getting another one? I like to space it out.
Overall I feel anti-hyped for this episode now. Maybe they can pull off a magic screwball and maybe we’ll get that dance, but until then, I’m going to stay low on the hype. Have a good one guys!

Biased Journalism & Launch-Day Hype – The Evils of Games Journalism
Last week, a friend of mine over at LZNation put up this video discussing a recent controversy (or just drama?) surrounding The Sims 4 and what it shows is wrong with the current state of games journalism and media.

Mortal Kombat X Anti-Hype
Mortal Kombat X Anti-Hype
Mortal Kombat X is Coming
In fact, it’s coming on almost all platforms – Playstation 4, Playstation 3, XBOX One, XBOX 360, and PC!
How are people responding? Are they jumping up and down in joy? Are they returning to older Mortal Kombat games like I am and getting prepared to be “Who’s Next?” Nope.
Instead the trend I’m seeing in the responses to the Mortal KombatX announcement teaser is one of…
