(via Navarro Denies Planning A Coup With Bannon On Jan. 6)
oh my god - Navarro is comedy GOLD.
It’s scary because there are gullible, ignorant people that listen to this shit and BELIEVE IT. But on it’s face - this is fucking hilarious.
Submission Call!
You, yes you! can help a new blog out.
Please fill my inbox and submissions with any item of logic that people taken in by purity culture have said made ships or characters “problematic” in one way or another while I find the next couple of topics. (I’m thinking I’m going to look at the classic Lily Orchard deleted thread of writing “tips”, and scouring for reasons why people dislike Adam from SK8 The Infinity.)
How Anti-Vaxxers Sound to Normal People
Parental Fallacious Adventures!
Part 1: Internet is down, and it’s your fault.
It’s the middle of the week. Tomorrow is the most merciful of day’s this week --- yes! it’s thursday!
Side Note: My parents are sending my younger brother off to college, this will last a total of seven days, my dad -- the primary source of all of my anxiety in life and the reason I still have trouble talking to people in positions of authority at just shortly after 21 years of age -- will be leaving tomorrow to help him settle in.
So the internet has been down for a day or so now. I told him I would look into it, I did and nothing managed to change at all. In his mind, this somehow meant that I had not done anything to attempt to fix the problem. I have taking general IT courses as well as some CCNA courses. It is with reasonable confidence, that I can suggest that I know somewhat more about the router we use (a Cisco) than he does. This somehow made him irate that I knew something that he did; if I said anything that indicated anything other than unflinching obedience, I was scolded. It didn’t matter about whether he was correct, this was him stroking his magical confidence penis.
I get around to fixing things his way, I didn’t say the right way (what he calls it) because anyone with more than 10 minutes of IT experience can tell you, there are very few problems that can only be solved one way. We go through repeated trials. He chides me for using a command prompt (on Windows computers) and terminal (Mac/Unix) -- primarily because he could not interpret the stream of information that came from these commands, he took this as an assault on his intelligence and this needed to be rectified at once. With his trademark sharp tone -- that he uses whenever he seems to not know something and want to make someone feel bad about this -- he chides. “It must be easier to open a browser window, instead of a command prompt”. I then made the grave mistake of telling him that this a more direct route to determining when and where the signal drops and loses connection. Because he did not know what the information meant he took this as the second attack on his intelligence. He used every parent’s get out of jail free card, the classic You can’t talk to me that way card. Which to anyone other than said parent (or other parents) sounds like “I’m defending my right to subtly verbally abuse you, and debase your self worth and esteem. At the same time reinforcing the fact that if your intelligence isn’t recognized by your superiors -- or happens to be higher in some area -- is worthless and needs to be silenced”
I remember the same thing that got me through a majority of merciless bullying in High School and before. If you don’t show emotions to them, you won’t show them that they hurt you. You will be hurt, but they walk away guilt-free and that’s how the world works and should continue to do so.
In case this wasn't painfully clear before, don't bother submitting long-ass dissertation style text posts about how abortion is bad and evil and I'm a wicked witch for supporting it.
You're wasting your time and insulting my intelligence.
Try doing something more productive instead, like I don't know... helping pregnant people, that you likely convinced to stay pregnant, and getting them nice things like food and diapers and basic fucking health care.

Log!c ?stem
Flux Factory, NYC, USA
Dates: 2–24 November 2013
Hours: weekends in November, 13:00-18:00, and during the week by appointment
Reactor will gather, assemble, perform and exhibit a new work over four weekends at Flux Factory to make Log!c ?stem. Rather than a pre-determined, structured methodology – Reactor’s usual way of working – Log!c ?stem will use improvisation as a form of anti-logic. Improvisation cannot be rehearsed, but the Log!c ?stem will create the rules of the game, so that Reactor can actively train to play.
Reactor has not previously considered the objects it produces to be ‘artworks’, but instead functional devices for, and ‘artefacts’ of, a live situation. In contrast, Log!c ?stem will start with the production of objects, gathering and assembling them with no predetermined function. Through a kind of anthropological process Reactor will consider the potential operation or use of these objects, extrapolating how we should or could perform them. Starting at what would normally be the end point, Reactor will create an internal logic structure in reverse – an absurd but explainable narrative – that can then be further improvised with.
The project is split into four phases of activity. Reactor invites others to become involved, both physically in the space, and by joining an amorphous online community of Reactor ‘Remote Members’. This dispersed involvement in the production of the work will amplify the potential for free association and misunderstanding, as we learn how to interpret or intuit the Log!c ?stem.
You can come along while the space is open each weekend or make an appointment to join us at another time by emailing [email protected]
There will be two additional events that will punctuate the project, the first being ‘Gather’ where Reactor invites you to join them for a social occasion to find out more about Log!c ?stem.
Log!c ?stem Events: ‘Gather’ – Saturday, November 2nd, 7-10pm ‘Perform’ – Saturday, November 16th, 7-10pm
The text and images used to describe Log!c ?stem here represent Reactor’s current thoughts on this project; they have been written in such a way as to accommodate correction and revision. This information will be updated as the Log!c ?stem develops.
