romantic relationship? no no you get me wrong. i said friendship that reflects against itself to infinity like two mirrors held up facing each other. y'know, friendship the color of silica-glass green
the best evidence i have for funnybunny is jax's "that's what everybody wants. a straight couple" joke bc i am a transfem jax truther and if i am correct about that. the delayed payoff from that line would be insane
if i had a riz gukgak i would take point five pictures of him
nightmare blunt rotation but it's just jonathan sims and riz gukgak. i'm not even there i just leave them with some mystery and wait for the red string and paranoia
"the irony is, i wouldn't have minded talking about this a lot earlier. i mean, you've got issues. i've got...less"
babe what’s wrong? you haven’t lit your phanukkiah…
i've said it before and i'll say it again: i truly believe much of "beauty" is just whatever you're used to. do you really think that physical trait is ugly or have you just never seen enough representation of it for it to feel normal? do you really hate that type of music or have you just never listened to any songs enough times to stimulate those sweet pattern recognition parts of your brain?
so many people have such a deep-rooted belief that there's just some things that everyone is naturally drawn to, and while i don't know enough about this to fully dismiss that, i do know that it's not nearly as clean-cut as people think. even a basic investigation into beauty standards in different countries and time periods shows that different things are valued in different contexts. and the whole concept of trends relies on something becoming common enough that people think it looks cool, even if it would be considered ugly a year earlier or later.
that is to say: beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. and if you're the beholder, you have more control over the eye than you might think. stay conscious of your biases and seek out representation that opposes them, even if it's boring or uncomfortable at first! growth can be slow but noticing your definition of beauty expanding is the most liberating feeling. and it'll help you recognize boxes that you're putting yourself in, too
