Graffiti seen around Quito during the popular insurrection against an IMF backed austerity package. The rebellion was sparked on October 3, 2019 when the Ecuadorean government introduced the austerity measures, which included a huge hike in fuel prices.

The daily clashes became so intense that the government fled the capital city and introduced a curfew, before eventually conceding to the protesters demands and withdrawing the austerity decree on the 13th of October.
