Maybe it's the tism talking but I will truly never understand the desire of some people in fandom to seek out ships/characters they don't like and harass those who enjoy it. Like, I know it doesn't feel good. Being that angry all the time fucking sucks and it's bad for your mental health. Realistically, what do you gain from it?

In a time of fandom history where it's easier than ever to curate your own experience, why are you doing this to yourselves? Not to mention what you're doing to others. Because you are talking to real people through that screen. There's a living, breathing person on the other end just trying to enjoy themselves. Just blacklist the tags and ships you don't like or want to see and enjoy the things you enjoy. I promise it's a much more fun and fulfilling way to engage with things.

Be kind to yourself and be kind to others.

[And I'm specifically talking about ship wars and automatically assuming things of a person based on their ships or faves. There are certainly real problems in fandom that need to be addressed and talked about like stalking and doxxing actors or blatant racism, antisemitism, etc.]

Eh, I was, but fell out of the fandom once the fanbase started getting really toxic and the roleplay started getting too scripted and not fun or organic at all. If you wanna cancel me, whatever, I don't care. I don't get why there are so many people who go out of their way to hate on it anyway.
