Big space , worse behaviour ?

I could not even imagine, that this kind of article will appear in Harvard Business Review, but it do happened. And then i referred back to my studies, where the basic understanding of the space starts from the ergonomics or the science of work space and it makes real sense.

Ok, let's return to the beginning: imagine yourself, how angry or happy you are in the big or small space? Of course, it really depends how tall you are, how much stuff do you need or have, but in general?

Some people, prefer to say that Big Car = Big Man, the same counts for spaces. Do you personally agree with that?

As per research done by Andy Yap and described in his article : "Big chairs Create Big Cheats", Andy is covering the point that " It’s not having something big that makes you feel more powerful; these spaces allow you to have an expansive posture, and that’s what makes you feel more powerful. And the feelings of power are what alter your behaviour".

In NY city, where the power is a big word, and people are trying their best to climb the ladder of success, you can still see a lot of small space, and to buy the house on Park Avenue, is really a rare thing. Obviously, in this case, you will feel more powerful but more lonely too. As cosiness of small spaces is something you can not just throw away from the window. When people are living in small spaces, they are like living in tribes, they have their own fun moments and challenges and that makes them closer.

I do believe, that we can not go and just say " Everybody, You, You or You to the Small space , please ! And don't forget to split your big countryside house, so other people can live in it" . But i do believe, that at least thinking about the challenge for yourself, in sense of how much space you actually need, will make a big difference. And now i will show you some examples, where people are trying to adjust their life to the small space.
