Summary:
Alec and Magnus travel to the past and make a big decision about their future.

Story:
The portal threw the couple out on an expensive-looking rug, causing them both to groan in discomfort.
"Where are we?" Alec questioned as he started to straighten himself out.
"Not really where darling," Magnus corrected him as he held his hand out to help his husband up. "More like when."
"When?"
Magnus looked around and confirmed that Ragnor's portal actually worked. "we are in the past, Alexander."
Alec just looked at his husband, confused. He didn't understand what Magnus was going on about. Finally, Alec took his husband's outstretched hand and replied, "Magnus did you hit your head hard on the landing?"
"No, but darling, we must get moving," Magnus stated as he started to pull Alec through the old house. "We can't stay more than an hour, or else we might be stuck."
Alec stumbled after his husband at the insistent tugging. Magnus had never led him wrong, so he trusted the other but still didn't stop the confusion growing within the Shadowhunter.
Alec watched as his husband's eyes darted around the room till a smirk played onto Magnus' lips.
"There you are!" Magnus declared in an excited tone. He moved forward, pulled on the bookshelf in front of them, and sent a pulse of his magic through the vault’s lock. He had to make sure that even if someone found his vault, they wouldn't be able to open it without his magic signature.
"Magnus?" Alec called out, even more confused than before. He looked around the room and saw old reports laying on a desk. Alec's breath caught when he noticed the dates on them. 1989.
"Just a sec, darling," Magnus called back as he shifted through the small vault. He was sure he put the vial in here. He was positive about it. Magnus pushed back some old photos till a small purple vial attempted to roll out and onto the floor. He quickly wrapped his magic around it and saved it from a shattering fall. "Got you.'
Magnus couldn't help the small thrill and anxiety that shot through his body as he looked at the flask. This small ingredient held the key to his happiness.
"We should get going, Alexander," Magnus stated as he turned back to face his husband, who was now reading through reports Magnus must've left out in the past. He could see the horror and strain on his archer's face. "Alexander?"
"In Idris, all these are locked away and censored," Alec managed out as he kept reading the orders the Clave had signed off on in the past. "Magnus, I had no idea…."
Magnus pushed the vial into his vest pocket and made his way to Alexander. He moved the files away from the Shadowhunter and cradled his husband's face gently. "My love, you aren't them. What they did in the past, you have worked relentlessly to reverse and amend. It is a part of our past, but it doesn't define us."
"They took so much from you all," Alec whispered as he leaned into Magnus' touch. "I'm sorry."
"Darling, what they did is not for you to apologize for," Magnus continued. "Now we can talk about more when we go back, but we really have to go, darling.”
“Cause Rangor and the portal?” Alec asked as he nodded.
“Yes, I’m not sure how long our dear little cabbage will be able to stabilize this magic,” Magnus replied, tugging on Alec’s hand towards the unstable-looking portal. He assumed the way back was the same way he got here. He just needed to think back to the present day for the portal to push them back into the loft. “Make sure you don’t let go, darling.”
“I wouldn’t dream of it,” Alec smiled and pulled Magnus closer. He didn’t exactly understand how he ended up here, but he knew those documents. He had so many questions, but they could all wait until they got home and far away from this time period.
“Always the charmer,” Magnus winked and closed his eyes, thinking of the potion he left on stasis in his apothecary, of Chairman probably looking around for him for lunch duty and of all of Alec’s gear and things around their home.
Alec watched his husband concentrate and, like always, swooned at the tiny creases around Magnus’ eyes as he focused harder. He cherished the small details of his husband. The Shadowhunter tightly wrapped his arms around his warlock and closed his eyes, putting his complete trust in him.
“Let’s go back home,” Magnus smiled as he pulled both of them through the portal. Magnus felt the volatile pull again as the magic ripped through time to push them back out to his present-day loft.
“Took your time, didn’t you?” Ragnor groaned, exhausted as he tried to bat away the small feline making circles around his feet. “Your beast seems to be hungry as well.”
Magnus patted himself down, checking everything was in order and the vial still secured in his vest pocket. He quickly turned around to see Alexander doing the same.
"We got the ingredient," Magnus confirmed as he snapped his fingers, summoning Chairman Meow's food dish filled for the small cat.
"I'm glad," Ragnor groaned as he fell onto Magnus' desk chair, exhausted. "I've already contacted Cat; she will be here to collect me shortly. But, be warned, she is furious."
"At you or me?" Magnus asked as he quickly started to pull out the rest of the ingredients Catarina had written down in the recipe.
"Both." Catarina's voice rang through as a portal appeared in the room. "I can't believe you both would be so reckless."
"Really? I thought this would be expected. I have different cure vials prepared at my home for whenever Magnus calls," Ragnor joked as he started to cough and groan. "Speaking of, do you have magic exhaust remedies on you?"
As Ragnor and Catarina kept going, Magnus gathered all the ingredients and started to measure them out.
"So it was for a potion?" Alec asked, walking around Magnus' workstation, careful not to get in the concentrated warlock's way.
"Not just any potion, darling," Magnus confirmed as he dumped the last of his Seelie tears into the pot before vanishing the jar with a mental note to contact Meliorn for more. "This is one of the most important potions I have made."
"For a client?"
"No, it is for you, my dear husband."
"For me?" Alec questioned as he kept watching Magnus add ingredients before letting the potion simmer.
Magnus walked forward and took Alec’s hands, and tugged him close. “Remember how we had talked about immortality in the past?”
“We agreed that if it came to it, I would get Raphael to turn me,” Alec nodded as he remembered the conversation that came after he had convinced Magnus to tell him what was bugging him. His husband had been reluctant at first to confide his newest fear with him. It had taken some coaxing till Magnus finally informed Alec that a life without him was not something he was looking forward to and often kept him up at night, especially on those that Alec was off on a mission.
“What if there was another way?” Magnus asked, bringing his hand up to caress his Shadowhunter’s cheek.
“Is there?” Alec asked while attempting to temper his excitement. He wasn’t too fond of the idea of changing to a liquid-only diet but would if it meant he would be with Magnus forever.
“We will see in a few minutes; the potion needs to set for ten minutes before it is safe for you to take it,” Magnus confirmed.
“Will I still be a Shadowhunter?” Alec asked as he looked between Magnus and the resting potion.
“As far as Catarina found, you will remain the same,” Magnus answered. “You will stop aging within a year of taking it, but there is a slight side effect of it.”
“What is it?”
“The potion was created by a Seelie so that they could keep their partner without binding them to the Seelie Realm,” Magnus explained. “In doing so, the partner, later on, developed some extra abilities. Abilities that are usually only Seelie. Random plants growing at will and the sort.”
“So I will be part Seelie and part Shadowhunter?” Alec questioned as he kept counting the seconds for the potion to set.
“Not enough Seelie to cause a ruckus but enough that I won’t have to worry about you around my greenhouse,” Magnus teased, trying to lighten the mood. “We can wait, you know. I could put the potion into stasis and look for more ways before we settle on this one.”
Alec looked between his husband and the potion. With the potion, he could maintain a close to normal Shadowhunter lifestyle. Sure, Alec might have to quit later on once people start figuring out he isn’t aging, but he could have a few more years protecting his Parabatai and sister. Alec wouldn’t have to put Jace through the pain of a broken Parabatai bond. The potion was a blessing compared to other methods they have explored.
“I want to do it,” Alec confirmed and kissed Magnus’ cheek. “This way, you can also still show me all the great food around the world like you enjoy doing.”
“I won’t hold it against you if you want to wait, Alexander,” Magnus conveyed, not wanting to push his husband into a choice. He didn’t want Alexander to come to regret it and their relationship to suffer for it. Magnus was aware he was already selfish by making his lover immortal but, he refused to let it cause a rift between them. If Alexander wanted to wait years before making the decision, then Magnus was ready to accept that.
“Magnus,” Alec called softly. “I don’t want to wait. I want to spend the rest of your forever together. I want to take the first step into our forever.”
Magnus leaned forward and sealed their lips together, relishing the stubble that brushed against him and the soft reply from Alec as he returned the kiss. “You will never cease to amaze me, my love.”
Magnus lifted the pot and poured it out to a small glass, observing the potion for discrepancies. Finally, he turned to Alec and handed him the violet drink. “It might taste a bit like metal, but that is normal.”
Alec smiled and looked at the half-filled cup. He thought that it would be filled with fanfare and dramatics when the moment came to be immortal. Alec believed that he would be nervous, and he still was but not the type of nervous he expected. He was nervous because he would be ensuring his fairy tale with Magnus would never have an end date after this drink. Instead, he would get a happily ever after. Forever after. With one more look at his husband and even the two still bickering warlocks in the background, Alec tossed the potion back like a shot of alcohol and swallowed it all.
For Asexual Awareness Week, I wanted to show my support even if I don’t identify as Asexual. I’ve had the honor of meet many wonderful people who do.
So I took the Vision Rune from Shadowhunters and edited to represent the colors of the Asexual Flag. As well as I thought it be fitting to use the Vision Rune in sort of a way to bring more awareness and vision onto the subject of Asexuality.
To anyone out there who is Asexual out or not,
I see you. I respect you. You are valid. You aren’t broken. Nothing is wrong with you. You are perfect the way you are. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. You are all lovely beings who make this world a better place. My blog and any of my other social medias will always be a safe place for you.

Story:
Alec felt the vibration go off in his pocket and smirked as he dragged his half-finished cigarette against the wall before flicking it into a puddle in the alley.
The text was from Jace, letting him know he was there. Tonight was a rare night; usually, as a Shadowhunter, he’d be geared up and covered by ichor by now. But instead, he was going out with his boyfriend. He may have had to bribe Isabelle with some clothing, but anything was worth it to have the same day off as his parabatai finally.
Alec pulled his black jacket around him closer and ran his hand through his hair before turning into the club, Pandemonium. He didn’t always visit Downworlder clubs in the past, but as of late, it was the only place he felt Jace and him had privacy.
He slipped in quickly before allowing the erratic music and crowd of people to consume him. Before Alec knew it, he was being pulled by a hand he knew intimately into a kiss, then a booth.
“I can taste the nicotine on you,” Jace teased.
“I can taste the shot,” Alec bit back with a smirk before claiming another kiss. “Stressful patrol?”
“Not all of us were lucky enough to get the whole day off,” Jace whined as he kept their hands interlaced. “I was stuck with the rookies, and one of them, I swear, only passed the Academy cause they didn’t want to deal with him anymore.”
“Oh, so you bonded over common ground,” Alec smiled.
“I take offense to that,” Jace pouted.
“Sure you do.”
They leaned against each other on the same side of the booth and basked in each other’s presence.
“It’s not every day I get to be graced by two beautiful angels in my club,” a voice burst their bubble, causing both boys to turn and face the owner of it.
Both Shadowhunters were surprised not only by who it was but by how gorgeous the warlock was. They both knew who Magnus Bane was. They had seen him before on his throne, entertaining others.
“What can we do for you, Mr. Bane?” Alec managed out as he tried to stop staring at the rings adorning Magnus’ hands.
“I just had a request for you two,” Magnus replied as his eyes raked over the pair with a predatory grin.
“I’m sure we can fill any request you have,” Jace replied while trying to keep his eyes on Magnus’ face and not following the warlock’s bare chest framed by his silky shirt.
“I was wondering if you would join me for some fun on my throne?” Magnus boldly asked.
Alec and Jace both looked at each other as a silent question played through their eyes before they both nodded.
“I’m sure we could find a way to entertain you, Magnus,” Alec confirmed as he stood up, followed by Jace.
“Just like I’m sure you could indulge us,” Jace added, taking Alec’s hand and following after Magnus.

Story:
Alec groaned as he fully pushed into Magnus, bottoming out. He shut his eyes as he felt his Alpha clench around his dick. Through shaky breaths, he quickly started reciting runes to distract himself from tipping over.
“Okay there, Sayang?” Magnus teased as he looked over his shoulder, watching as his Omega struggled and attempted to stop himself from moving. Magnus’ glamour finally broke at the image of Alec strained to keep his composure while the runes persisted, glowing slightly against his angel’s sweat-coated skin.
“Magnus,” Alec groaned and opened his eyes to look at his husband, regretting it. All of Alec’s distraction techniques were rendered null by the sight of his bonded laid out on a sea of amethyst sheets. Magnus’ warlock mark on display, and Alec could smell the possessiveness and pleasure coursing through his Alpha.
“The excess angelic energy won’t work itself out, Alexander,” Magnus playfully chided and rolled his hips to encourage his angel to move finally.
“Fuck,” Alec cursed and gripped Magnus’ hips, keeping the warlock still before pulling out slowly. He saw as his slick seeped back out of his Alpha. Alec had taken his time stretching and working Magnus open the moment the portal behind them closed. Glimpses of dropped clothing and teasing kisses flooded his mind, not helping his situation.
“Please, my Omega,” Magnus called out, wiggling against Alec’s hold. The Alpha was patient, but after what had felt like hours of being licked and teased open, he needed his husband.
Alec pushed back in and watched a shiver journey down Magnus’ back, beckoning him deeper. Alec followed the call quickly, picking up the pace. He basked in every whine and praise he coaxed out of his Alpha. He felt when Magnus’ hands gave out and quickly draped his body over his husbands. Alec almost lost himself feeling Magnus’ heated skin against his active runes.
Magnus clung to the sheets under him as he felt Alec’s hands move from his hips to cage him against the bed instead. All the Alpha was allowed to do was push back on his Omega, and Magnus planned to take full advantage of this. Every time Alec would pull out, Magnus would be sure to meet him on the push. Magnus could feel his knot threatening to pop, rutting against the sheets with every push.
The Alpha’s eyes shot open when he felt Alec start to mouth and nip at his mating scar. It had been years since they had completed their bond, but they both still behaved like freshly mated, constantly fixated on the tethers between their bond.
“Alexander, please,” Magnus moaned and babbled, gripping the sheets closer as he tried to stave off his orgasm. “So good for me, my Omega.”
“Mine. My Alpha,” Alec groaned as he rutted against Magnus. His Alpha kept twitching and clenching around him; Alec knew they both weren’t going to last longer.
Echos of each other’s names were all the warnings they received before they both tipped over.
This is a week that is a bit personal to me because I identify as transgender(FtM/AFAB/Transmasc) and use he/him pronouns. Along with having friends who identify as transgender.
Every year since I have known about Transgender Awareness Week I try and do something a small piece of art.
As I did in the past with Asexual Awareness Week I decided to again take a Rune that I have seen in Shadowhunters.
Those of you who know Shadowhunters or have seen the Rune somewhere are wondering: ‘Why did he choose one that represents mourning and remembrance?’
Easy. On November 20th, Transgender Awareness Week closes with Transgender Day of Remembrance. It is a day that is used to honor transgender people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence.
So I chose this year to make my art in observance of Transgender Day of Remembrance. For all of those that have been lost to ruthless and cruel ways.
To any who identifies as Transgender,
It doesn’t matter if you don’t look like what others believe you should for the gender identity you are transitioning to or presenting as, you are valid in whatever you choose. Your outfit and body shape don’t influence the gender identity you are. Don’t let other’s tell you how to express yourself. Only you know how to be you and no one can define that for you.
Coming out isn’t something that should be forced. Everyone has their own process and if you aren’t ready to or safe to then that is okay. More than okay. Your safety is important don’t forget that. You are important.
For those of you who are forced to endure misgendering, deadnaming, harassment, or dysphoria, you are strong. You are brave. You aren’t invisible or forgotten. I see you and you are amazing.
If you are someone who supports transgender people, thank you. I can’t express how much I mean that. Sometimes having even one person in a transgender person’s life who respects them can make all the difference. It did in my life. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support and respect you show.
My blog and all of my social media will always be a safe place for you.
SFW, Angst with Happy Ending, Time Travel, Good Friend Andrew Underhill(legit he should get paid more XD)
Author’s Note: This chapter is shorter than expected because of timing issues I wasn’t able to finish the full chapter but will release the other part of it later on. I just didn’t want to let you all down and once again not release on the date I promised. Thank you for your understanding.
Summary:
Alec gets some alarming news as he tries to get his paperwork done.
Read on Ao3
Story:
Alec sighed as he closed another folder and looked at the stack of fifty more waiting for him to approve. He started to wonder if the Head of Institute position was just a glorified secretary job. If it were up to him, more than half of the stack would be thrown out. Alec didn't understand why the Clave demanded written paperwork.
"Sorry, I'd usually knock, but this is urgent, Sir," Andrew explained as he pushed through Alec's office door. He didn't make a habit of locking it, at least not when Magnus wasn't visiting.
“What did my parabatai break now?” Alec groaned. He had hoped that since Jace had a date night with Clary tonight, he would be safe from his brother’s antics.
“No, not Jace this time,” Underhill dismissed and handed his boss the still alerting tablet. “It’s your home.”
“Home?” Alec took the tablet and read the warning on it. Someone in New York was draining the ley lines. Not just someone though, the map was showing the resident of a modest loft in New York was the culprit. He looked at the streets around the blinking dots as panic started to set it. “Magnus?”
“I stopped it before it sent the report to Idris, but I don’t know for how long I can intercept,” Andrew informed Alec with a bit of panic in his voice. “It just pinged a minute ago. Maybe Magnus is seeing a customer who made a big request?”
“No, today is his day off,” Alec responded as he started to pull his Steele and other things from his desk. He needed to see what was going. His husband was supposed to be having a relaxing day off. Alec tapped the screen a few times and allowed himself more time by assigning the emergency for himself. He would still have to submit yet another report on it later, but at least this way, it stopped The Clave from meddling and sending random Shadowhunters into his turf. “I’ll be heading out you and Izzy are in charge till I return.”
“Sir? Are you sure you can go by yourself?” Underhill asked, concerned. “Maybe you should take a team?”
“Trust me, Underhill, I can handle whatever mess my husband has found himself in,” Alec replied, pulling his coat on. “If it makes you feel better if I haven’t checked in an hour and the alarm is still going, then tell Izzy so she can coordinate a team.”
“I will be counting the minutes, Sir,” he replied intensely.
“Knowing Magnus, he just got caught up trying a new spell he found,” Alec tried to rationalize as he pulled on his coat. He needed to keep his mind away from the worst scenarios. Alec knew Asmodeus wasn’t an issue anymore, but there were other greater demons around that weren’t exactly on good terms with the Lightwood-Banes. He needed to get home. Now.
Alec waved Underhill as he tried to convince him again to take someone with him, but he wasn’t having it. He needed to get home now and check his husband. Alec quickly swiped his Steele through a few runes before he took off home.
As Alec jumped through rooftops and back alleys, his mind kept going to the worst-case scenarios.
What if another warlock was trying to claim the High Warlock position from Magnus again? Alec had witnessed a few duels for the position in the past, but none had drained the lines like this before.
Maybe it was just Magnus experimenting with a new spell. Alec was hoping for the latter one.
