Remember how Tokyo Ghoul was an interesting series that developed kaneki and his relationships with different types of people throughout the story. Remember how kaneki shook their world and changed their perspectives, showed them the world wasn't all black and white the way they thought, showed them compassion and helped them grow as people

Remember how Tokyo Ghoul:re also threw all that away and made those same characters into jokes or back ground characters who weren't even an afterthought to the story even if they were the ones who continuosly pushed said story forward

All in favour of his relationship with an abusive woman who did nothing for Kaneki's character, just for the sake of ~*~Straight Romance~*~ ™ 🙃🙃

Now imagine if Hide and Kaneki were a family and lived together. Kaneki would be happy. He loved Hide the most. They perfectly harmonize with each other. Morning gentle kisses and night rest under the stars. They deserved it. Hide needs Kaneki all his life, and Kaneki is in it.

But Ishida sent a fucking logic. Hide remained alone, like garbage. Touka literally turned into Hide to move the plot, and Kaneki, who does not even love his wife, tries to be happy.

How is fanon To*ka so different from canon T*uka? Like who let it get this bad? She literally never expresses a tender emotion for Kaneki. Why are people comfortable depicting them as a loving couple? Even if you ignore the argument of whether you agree with Tou/ken, she still has a very distant and aggressive personality that is just erased by people replacing it with this artificial housewife persona.
