HAIIII i kinda left u hangin too, but i did say i will read it till the end of the week and i did . im here to just share a few of the extracts i liked, im not at good at analyzin or puttin my insight in english as i hoped before LOL anyone can make their own interpretations or whatever they like . also on another 2 occasions , it writes he speaks of his mother. and possibly talking abt his father too? such a mama's boy either way! (he.. played.. with the children.. beethoven.. with kids.. my mind.. is 😞 rn)

Sorry, I'm a recent follower and I just wanted to know why you hate Anton Schindler? Sorry if you've answered something like this before.

Anton Schindler was Beethoven’s former secretary, associate, and earliest biographer. He worked for Beethoven as his unpaid secretary and lived with Beethoven for a while. However, Beethoven called it quits and fired him soon after and hired Karl Holz. Karl Holz was a young violinist and close friend of Beethoven compared to Schindler who had only known Beethoven four years and the two weren’t close at all. Now, I’m not sure how Schindler exactly reacted to this, but it was for the best because Schindler was doing a horrible job. 

Schindler was honestly the worst biographer one could have. He would purposely over exaggerate certain things in Beethoven’s life to make him out to be more than the common human being. Yeah, Beethoven was more than “common”, but the dude was trying to portray Beethoven as more of a god-like idol than an actual human. Due to this, Schindler did not provide accurate information and many Beethoven myths come from this (hence the left-handed myth and many conversations Beethoven supposedly had). Schindler returned shortly after Beethoven’s death and falsified many documents, destroyed or burned conversation books that conflicted with anything he may have written, and added fictional or over exaggerated events to Beethoven’s life in his biography. He also lied to many people saying that he had known Beethoven for “ten or twelve years” when he only knew Beethoven for five, six at the most. It wasn’t until Alexander Wheelock Thayer came along to investigate more about Beethoven and found what Schindler had done. He published the truth and the truth only. [x][x] 

Because of Schindler, we do not have many true sources about Beethoven. He wrote nothing but false facts which led to many of today’s Beethoven myths. Schindler destroyed or forged almost everything left that wasn’t taken by Beethoven’s friends or given to Karl because he wanted to paint Beethoven in an insane light that showed him as something he wasn’t–the person Schindler wanted him to be seen as.
