The Red Shoes (1948) The 16 minute ballet sequence that unfolds in the middle of this film is an experience. While you can watch and appreciate the dance sans context, the sequence is best encountered organically through watching the film, arriving and pushing aside the story to make room for itself. It captures the attention as it tells its own tale. I really enjoyed it.
