fun fact: most filipino action films have both sides using the same weapons (that is the M-16 and the M1911). This is actually historically accurate as back in the 1980s when these films were being made, those were used by the Philippine Army and Marine Corps, as well as the Police. This meant that those two were the most common weapons to find in the country and so insurgent groups got their hands on them!
