Two hated internships. He hated them with every fiber of his being. He hated working for a company without getting any money for it. He mostly hated the fact that An had decided to go abroad for his internship which meant that Two was going to be alone for his senior year. In Thailand. Alone. Surrounded by couples. Did he mention that he was going to be alone?

The apartment they shared seemed bare and quiet. Two resulted in keeping movies on almost all of the time because he needed the noise. He found himself buying all of An’s shower products so he could keep his scent around. The two of them found time to video chat when they could, but their timezone was so drastic that they became more scarce as time went on. Two hated it.

He missed An. He missed him so much. He missed his strong arms and his cuddles. He missed An’s kisses. He missed An’s messy bed head and the way he refused to wear anything but boxers to sleep. He missed the way An would sing off-pitch on car drives. He missed his boyfriend. 

So he packed up. It was a school break and he had the money to spend on a ticket so he did. He packed up a carryon bag and had Third drive him to the airport. He hopped on a plane and just hoped that An could pick him up. The plane ride was torturous, 17 hours long and boring as hell. But he was finally in the same city as An and would see him soon. So very soon. He just had to text him first. He stepped into the airport and took his phone off airplane mode and began to write a text to his partner before An texted him first. 

“Turn around,” it said. Confused, Two paused and turned, seeing An standing behind him. If it were any normal day, he would be sad that his surprise got ruined. But this was the first time he was seeing An in months and he couldn’t give a damn if one of his friends ruined his surprise. That just meant he could see An sooner. A smile bloomed on his face and ran towards his boyfriend, hugging him tightly as soon as he could. 

“Hi,” he whispered into An’s chest. An chuckled, although it sounded kind of wet. He held Two close and stamped a lingering kiss into his hair. 

“Hello, love.”

51. “Please stop rolling your shirt sleeves up, it’s terribly distracting.”

Word Count: 418

They were supposed to be helping to decorate for the party. They were celebrating ... something. Two could no longer remember exactly what it was and entirely blamed Un for that. He had a habit of whenever he wore a button down shirt and he started to work on something, he always ended up rolling up the sleeves. He’d noticed it before they were ever anything to one another, but he hadn’t really notice it until he started seeing Un as more than just an acquaintance or a friend. When he was helping out with the set for the play, he often ended up rolling up his sleeves - something that Two hadn’t noticed at that time because he was working, himself, but when he went back over the photos later he realized and found that it was quite distracting. He hadn’t even realized that could be a thing that was distracting until then.

It was unfair that Un could look so good doing something so ... simple. With a slight huff of his breath, Two reached over and unrolled Un’s sleeves so that they covered his arms again. Un paused and watched what Two was doing with an amused smirk, but he didn’t comment on it. Which was good because Two would just have said that it was entirely his fault in the first place. Just like it was Un’s fault that it was even a thing in the first place.

Only a few minutes later, Two was dying internally all over again as he watched Un rolling the sleeves back up to where they were so that his forearms were exposed - and why was that a thing that distracted him in the first place? It was nothing, really, but a slight deviation from the otherwise pristine appearance, making him look ... well, Two couldn’t even describe it. “Please stop rolling your shirt sleeves up, it’s terribly distracting,” Two said with a heavy sigh once An finished putting the sleeves in place. 

An didn’t say anything in response. He just shook his head with another smirk on his face and continued putting the decorations in place until Two grabbed the collar of his shirt, dragging him in close enough to kiss him. “Gross,” complained Third as he walked into the room carrying the plastic cups they were going to use, making both of them pull apart. An chuckled softly and Two felt like disappearing into the floor or something equally dramatic. “Save it for later, yeah?”

Drabble: New Ending, New Beginning (Theory of Love, Aun/Two)

300 words of missing scene from the last episode. Word prompt: weird.

It was strange, how different hugging Aun felt from hugging his friends. Two was a pretty affectionate guy, but having Aun's strong arms (how much did the guy work out?!) holding him roused feelings that had little to do with backslapping hellos or goodbyes nor with comfort offered or received.

Two wasn't sure how long they stood there, just hugging, but he had no inclination to let go, and it seemed that neither had Aun. Finally, it was the arrival of the announced storm with gusts of wind and the first fat raindrops that forced them apart. Aun still hadn't stopped smiling, and Two felt light-headed, almost drunk with the knowledge that he was the cause of such blinding joy.

So when Aun offered him his hand with just the slightest flicker of trepidation, Two didn't hesitate to accept, not wanting Aun to ever stop smiling at him. Also, it turned out it was actually really nice to hold hands with him, his own hand almost swallowed by Aun's huge paws. (And Two very decidedly did not imagine those long fingers on other parts of his body.)

The rain was getting stronger now, and they ended up racing to the hotel, both of them giggling like little kids as they got soaked through. Once there,  Aun wrapped his arms around Two's middle, and Two fumbled with the keycard before finally getting the door open, relieved to find the room dark and empty, Bone obviously having found a different place to crash.

However, the next moment he realised that this meant that he was now alone with Aun. Biting his lip, he glanced up at the taller man, swallowing hard when Aun's dark eyes tracked the movement intently (hungrily).

Kissing Aun should have felt weird. But somehow it really, really didn't.

What if Two caught An and the girl instead of Khai?

 It felt like the right moment. He’d been waiting for this, hadn’t he?

“Lynn, I’ve had a crush on you since high school,” he started, and she just looked back with expectant eyes. “You don’t have anyone in your life now, so would you like to go out with me?”

Why didn’t it feel quite right then?

“Two,” she started, reaching out a hand to gently hold his while she spoke slowly, carefully, “you’re a good friend of mine. I know you well enough to know that… you know that I’m not in a place to say yes to that. I was with Phon for a long time and I need some time to be by myself. “

He nodded. He did know. But that’s not why it felt wrong.

“It was worth a shot, right?” he asked, the practiced smile stretched across his face. She cocked her head to the side, her own smile knowing.

A chair scraping against the concrete grabbed both their attention and Two watched as a girl he vaguely recalled being introduced to earlier in the day, pull An to his feet and drag him away from the pool as they laughed, hand in hand. Two knew he was frowning then and ran a hand through his wet hair again.

“I need run and use the bathroom. I’ll be back in a minute,” he told Lynn without giving her a proper chance to respond. His feet moved on their own to where An and the girl disappeared off to. He couldn’t stop himself from following but stopped short when he saw where they stopped.

She had An pressed against the wall, looking up at him and batting her eyelashes. Two stayed back and watched from his covert spot as An caressed her face with large, calloused hand. And kissed her.

Two felt ice in his veins. A thousand thoughts raced in his head. Every assumption about An he had suddenly twisted. He felt more confused than ever. Lost. He just didn’t understand why it hurt so much.

He turned on his heel, back to the pool, back to Lynn, letting the gate slam close behind him and An watching as he walked away.
