now that im reading marvel comics again, im remembering why i stopped reading all new x-factor. i tried so hard to enjoy it for georgia and lorna, but yeesh. the way doug was crashing out, and the fact that they kept dragging pietro along in the weirdest ways. it was legitimately absurd how they had doug have sex with danger just to fuck around with doug/warlock truthers. like, it was weird! it was like if joss whedon was writing it. like they were having fun making doug constantly suffer, with warlock just dragging himself behind bc nobody on that editorial board was brave enough to just admit they did not care about doug OR warlock and just wanted to write robot porn without both the mutie and the robot having penises. honestly one of the most disappointing things peter david ever did write 😭

Remy: I normally wouldn't say this, but I had a good time having sex with you today. Pietro: Me too. You're ... good at it. Remy: Thanks. Pietro: But it's not gonna happen again. Remy: Oh no, definitely. It might, though. Pietro: Wouldn't be opposed to it. But just the sex part. I find the rest of you repulsive. What do you think of the lightning trails that Pietro has occasionally been drawn with? Is it something you want to see more of?

So in comics, even though Pietro does not have any kind of lightning powers he is often symbolized with the lightning bolt down his chest for his uniforms, and is drawn with those lightning trails or like a wind trail/white blur and honestly I do like them but I feel like All New X-Factor did something very unique with Quicksilver that doesn't sorta copy The Flash who is most associated with lightning bolt as well bc of how he got his powers etc.

In ANXF the artist (Carmine Di Giandomenico) has lights on Pietro's uniform so that when he runs the glow of these lights make a trail behind him which I love so much.

And it honestly makes more sense for his character than lightning because Pietro's power is all his own, no speed force or anything like The Flash, so this is a great way to symbolize his speed in comics and the pretty glowing trail would fade off but the artist could show his trajectory with it. This also reminds me of long exposure pictures of lights which is a very cool aesthetic. So while I don't mind the lightning, I do think Pietro isn’t so tied to that symbol as The Flash is so it would be alright for him to move away from it and have something like this again. 

If I had my choice I would want Pietro's uniform to incorporate this element again because it really gives Pietro something that is all his own.
