So I was going through an old sketchbook and rediscovered some early designwork for Anxies, my first fantroll, as well as some for Quokka too. I figured I’d share them here (and add in the two most recent pics i have for comparison) because I think it’s kinda interesting seeing how much I’ve changed and how much has stayed the same. Also ft. A Karkat grub since at the time I made Anxies, he was heavily influenced visually by how I drew Karkat then, so I wanted to draw them next to each other as grubs to make sure they could be told apart even without color.

A big doodle dump of homestuck ocs!! First page is the main trolls and a couple kids, second pic is quokka and amygda again bc I felt like I messed up their initial drawings, and third pic is some troll dancestors.

Another fantroll’s godtier! Anxies, Rogue of Doom. Did this for an old event day at @artistsascend.

My current confirmed roster of fantrolls who play a session of Sgrub (or its equivalent). I drew this for a daily event at @artistsascend that allowed us to share our fan characters!!

They all have signs and blood color determined but that’s honestly the only thing they all have determined! Most of them don’t even have names…..

Currently I refer to them all as Jadeblood, Bronze, Anxies (blueblood), Belphe (cobaltblood), Captor (goldblood, what a surprise) and Cilone (purpleblood).

Eaaaaarly brainstorming sketches for my fantroll, Anxies, thinking about godtier outfit, different stages of growth and some snapshots of him in the Sgrub session (a wimp). This was back before I understood that different godtier classes had different outfits, I think I was just sort of under the assumption it differed depending on the player? (for some bizarre reason??)

this evidently was a mistaken notion I’d carried through act 5, given I knew godtier trolls had wings. That said, I suppose it’s possible for him to have a modded godtier outfit, but I doubt it tbh. 

On the other hand, idk if scalemates are a thing in his planet but if they are he’d love to own one so much.

(and it’s weird thinking of him with such a sticklike figure now.... glad I put a stop to that lmao)
