ugh so i've LOVED seeing the self-inserts and GardenClan ocs people have been sending my way this past week <3 i thought it might be fun to see how these guys would actually look in the comic, alongside some potential friends !!

Buzzing Cicada belongs to @wtclangen !! he's a wandering loner who found his way to the Garden and has been enjoying his (extended) stay. here, he's swapping travel stories with Mulberry Wine.

Grey Willow belongs to @taketherisk-clangen !! she's not a member of the Garden yet, but Locust has extended the invitation to them. It would take leaving his family behind, but maybe one day Grey Willow will take her up on that offer.

Dreaming Dove belongs to @baebeeblogs !! here, she is escorting The Dreamer to gather poppy. these two would get along well - and not just because of their shared name. The Dreamer would enjoy their quiet company, and enjoy talking about herbs as they went along the territory.

i really loved drawing these, and i hope you all like them <3 it's always really fun to try and tweak designs into my style, and i love seeing them next to the comic characters. i really wanted them all to feel as 'in character' as possible. you've all made cats that would make wonderful and welcome additions to the Garden, and i so appreciate you playing dolls with me.

it's crazy to see people like my work enough to make a guy who lives inside of it.... i appreciate you all so much, and hope you know how much seeing your ocs made my day !!

Context: Metal has abandoned doctor Eggman after realizing he doesn't want to be what he was created for, choosing to side with Sonic and his friends. He embraces this new beginning allowing Tails to help him do a few changes to his design, looking forward to find a identity for himself.
