My favorite part of writing is that if I am inside the characters' heads, I don't have to be inside my own.
To whoever made that post about using the litany against fear from Dune to deal with anxiety or stuff like that
Thank you so much!!!
I literally know nothing about Dune but I can quote that speech so we'll it's ridiculous! It's such an effective meditation practice for getting rid of panic and anxiety! I use it all the time!
whenever im scared of doing something i try to think about whether ill regret having done it once its over and if the answer is no it makes me feel a little better about things
food anxiety hack: if you're ever worried about being judged for ordering "too much" food, write your order down on a piece of paper or in a notes app, and read it off of there. Then ask for the receipt at the end. At worst, the servers will assume you're ordering for two or more people (tho realistically, they'll be thinking that they just want to go home and they would have forgotten your face before you even finish paying)
go, be free, eat food! enjoy!
We hacked Halloween and my anxiety. Event staff consumes! You get to tend fires and play with dogs 🤘 highly recommend.
I used to get a lot of anxiety about whether or not I locked the door before leaving my house and then I realized I could just take a video every day of me locking the door and when I started to get anxious I would watch it and know I did lock it and that everything was okay
I ran across this video and was super surprised and pleased to find a diy video that deals with my main crippling issue--anxiety! I’m posting this here in hopes that it will also help someone else. I am definitely going to use the ideas presented in this video, like as in right now!! In a sec, I’m going to start by changing my lock screen to a peaceful image with the reminder to breathe. This is something I deal with on a daily basis, so it hits close-to-home and finding something like this was really helpful and I just wanted to share! Have a great day, enjoy the video and remember to Breathe!!! P.S. This is NOT meant to be romanticization of mental illness or anything like that!!!! There is nothing that I, personally, go through on a daily basis to be downplayed. And if some of these ideas work for some, which they do for me, then that’s good! I do realize, however, what works for one may not work for another. Good day and spread love not hate.
