The Yearly Cycle

The moths in my stomach are hatching again.

Adults cocooned all summer long try to leave through my oesophagus.

Their eggs hatch into larvae that will eat me from the inside out.

Others try to build me up again from what they've destroyed.

I know I could always drink pesticide.

But I am still the same silk,

And without them I'd be nothing at all.
