Random Gotham idea at 3:15 in the Morning

Bruce is an angel but unlike the others who all have white, fluffy, birdlike wings, his are black and leathery, like a bats. He is mercilessly teased by the other angels, calling him demon and bat-boy. This makes him work twice as hard as any of the other angels to show he’s good and not a demon.

Unfortunately, the demons are less than thrilled about their missions being derailed by one angel; to be honest, it’s embarrassing. So, they manage to set a trap and capture him, where they then proceed to give him to the Generals of Hell; our very own Legion of Horribles to keep him from escaping.

The strange thing is, none of the Horribles hurt him (badly) or tease him for his wings for a very important reason; all of the generals have bird like wings, just not white. Don’t get me wrong, they’re not good guys; they get off on chaos, mayhem, and destruction. But none of them want to hurt the little angel with the different wings; they honestly think he’s adorable and just want him to be their pet, something encouraged by their Brigadier Generals, Jim and Alfred (yes, they’re demons, get over it, I want my Baby Bat cared for Damn It!).

So, whenever he manages to ‘escape’, they make a game out of it, and whoever captures him gets him for the day and can do whatever they wish with him. Bruce doesn’t understand that they actually find him cute and thinks they are constantly mocking him. The Horribles realize they have a long way to go before their Baby Bat accepts them.
