Absolutely nothing against the later seasons of spn, I love them! But something about the early seasons hits different. They did suspenseful horror so well. The quiet, chilling moments that were just so creepy instead of the default gore we get later. Similarly, it was really fun to see them try and worm their way into places under identities that weren’t just FBI, if that makes sense? I still like the later seasons quite a bit but I think we should appreciate the beginning, too
#from like a filmography standpoint I mean#im not a professional or anything#but i do have an interest in filmmaking#however amateur I may be#so I like to analyze the technical aspects too#idk maybe I’ll make a side blog when I inevitably do a rewatch#and every episode share my observations about the music and vfx and camerawork#if that would be interesting to anybody idk#but yeah I just personally really appreciate horror that doesn’t use blood#because it doesn’t rely on shock value in the same way#sorta like how I ALSO love when spn gets really GROSS with it too#or just plain weird#anything creative really#just keeping it interesting#which they do a good job of#and gore is also fun and can be really creepy too so im not complaining#just commenting I guess#spn#supernatural#spnfandom#applepi radio
