Anyone else ever think about how Eddie Munson and Casey Hartley are the same character
#*troublemaker who goes missing in a town that hates them and is only mourned by a select few close friends#**and to anyone who knows the truth isnt missing but dead under bizarre and tragic circumstances#anyway. i was thinking about the tragedy of casey hartley which has always been the saddest part of nitw i think#we the player never get to meet him. we dont even really get to know much about him. but we get to see his missing poster#and we see the evidence of his existence in his little online profile that never pings you for a message#and we see how mae and her friends are all vaguely hopeful that maybe he just ran away and made it out of this town like he#always said he would#and the knowledge of his death and *why* they killed him is what really cements how horrible the cult is#because the reason is just that they decided he was worthless. some stoner kid without a future who was better off dead#than alive and tainting their town#anyway. same guy
