how awkward was it that i cheerfully greeted a coworker today, whom i thought of as a friend and we haven't seen each other since the beginning of the pandemic, and she basically brushed me off

my DM: “yeah and at the end of the war there was a big battle where many wizards and mages including one of your mentors and a prince of the kingdom sacrificed their lives to bring down the magical barrier”

me: “....and i wasn’t there and therefore survived when many of my friends and people who were stronger and more useful to the kingdom than me died, you say?”

I love Jared, he’s my guy and the trade was awesome for the Pens and he fits perfectly with the system, but I wish some people (Twitter cough) will stop acting like Brass and Riley are so bad that don’t play for any team anymore. It’s an apples and oranges comparison bc they each have different playing styles (Jared speed, Brass versatile, Riley checking) and age. Same goes for people who praise on Chucky while shitting on Phil after the trade

I swear these people don’t even watch hockey, because if they have then they would know that Phil IS a good fucking hockey player. Yes he struggled during his last few games for us but he wasn’t the only one(I mean??? he wasn’t the only reason we got fucking swept), and fans loved using him as a scapegoat. What a joke. And when they were here, he along with Brass and Riley, actually gave us their all and played their hearts out. They had lots of great moments and we in turn have amazing memories which we’ll always associate with them

seeing that gifset my queue just posted of drizella from when victoria was arrested and lucy was being taken away from jacinda, made me think

drizella has been pretty open about being jealous of lucy and jacinda having a good relationship. she seems genuinely sad that they were being separated, and lucy taken away to a foster home (after all, there was no reason for her to act sad)

it seems like she genuinely felt guilty that her actions led to them being separated. she’s glad they still have each other, and felt responsible when they didn’t. she wants lucy to have her mom, even if she doesn’t realize it for a long time. it’s why she realizes she has to fix what she did

she can’t remember a time where her mother loved her. she lost her step-mother, and i imagine much like jacinda, thought they had been abandoned (i wonder if, when she met alice, alice told her what happened to cecelia, because i don’t think they say whether or not drizella knows, and knows what victoria did). but... she knows jacinda is a good mom. and with victoria out of the picture, she can be that mom and love lucy without worrying about that

leading back to the post i wrote a while ago that much of drizella’s treatment of jacinda was a survival response (if mom is hurting ella, she isn’t hurting me, and i want ella to be happy but i don’t want to hurt either) that she never had a chance to grow out of. we know she loved her step-sister, just as she loved anastasia. but if victoria was busy tormenting jacinda, and ana wasn’t there for victoria to compare drizella to, then drizella wasn’t getting hurt

and i think now she’s starting to realize that she’s getting hurt anyway and that she’s lashing out at the wrong people, and finally understanding what regina told her about the 1st curse - she got what she wanted, but it didn’t last, and she realized she wanted the wrong things. she wanted so badly to be a part of a family, and she screwed up her chance to be a part of this one, but she still has a chance to make sure she isn’t screwing up their chance too
