something i really think is interesting with 10, 14, and donna is that 10 and 14 are defined so entirely by the running, by how they run away from everything and never ever wants to look back, never ever wants to face the trauma and the hurt

donna will not pry when she thinks she shouldnt, but she also never lets her doctor run away at the first sign of vulnerability, and shes so very human where r t davies' doctors arent even though they really want to seem like it, she thinks about the ood, she kills a wasp that was a threat but 10 wanted to at least attempt to save, she makes him save at least one family at least four people from pompeii where none Should have survived
donna is like 10 and 14s moral compass where rose and martha were love interests, donna doesnt think the doctor is hot shit which also means that she doesnt treat them like theyre on a pedestal, and when theyre at the same level as everyone else... well... the trauma is much more visible isnt it, and if theyre at the same level as everyone else then they also need equal compassion and help as everyone else
10 and 14 will always want to run away, donna will never let them, and she will at the absolute least ask the question of are you okay and do you want to talk about it, even if its not those exact words
