Guys… I accidentally fell for yet another anime character and I’m actually ashamed at how fast it happened. All I wanted was to watch a josei/shojo romance because I’m obsessed with those. And usually I’m safe!! I normally don’t fall for the characters in those because I know they’re going to end up with someone and I can just sit there peacefully and enjoy the romance. But NO. A few minutes in. A FEW. And I was already crushing. Now I’m on episode 10 and I can barely even look at him without wanting to scream. I pause it. I stare. I lose my mind. This is so embarrassing. 😭

In my defense, is there not something at least a little erotic about something made to enclose and protect vulnerable flesh and blood? The juxtaposition between a warm body and its cold metal shell? Something which is synonymous with both safety and danger, for you would not need it if you had no risk of being harmed? You can hide a lot of yourself under a suit of armor, but you can hide very little from it.

Maybe there is a different term for “suits of armor do way more than anyone wearing them ever could” I just haven’t found yet…
