How would you feel if DC retconned Dick and Barbara’s history into a fling and completely stopped them from interacting with each other, even as friends?
Imagine DC putting Dick and Kory everywhere, in the main timeline, in every Elseworld, in webtoons, etc. and DickBabs doesn’t even get crumbs. Imagine Bat-writers shading Barbara as often as they did with Kory.
That’s the imbalance that’s been happening to DickKory for years, and it kind of makes sense that DickKory shippers resent DickBabs or even Barbara. Even if it’s not Babs fault.
Even worse when you remember that DickKory has a bigger fandom than DickBabs. Blocking the more popular ship from even existing as friends, or appearing as a couple in an Elseworld, is obviously going to create resentment toward Babs and the DickBabs ship.

Anyways it doesn't 100% excuse hating something without knowing anything about it.
How would I feel about it? Bad, sure, but imagine if I had never read anything about Starfire and the situation was in reverse... I wouldn't hate Starfire blindly because she ended up with Dick and erased history with Babs. I'd try to read about her SEPARATELY.
Gosh, it's all about ships with people.
You also gotta count the people who are new to comics and don't know half of the stuff you mentioned. But they still hate Babs without reading anything of her.

Again it's opinions though. Personally, I wouldn't resent Kory over something that DC did, I would resent DC and always did in some cases. I wouldn't hate her without knowing anything about her. But that's me.
Also DickKory still does appear in some stuff... Not everywhere but they got media, the YA, covers... So there are crumbs, dunno what you're talking about.
And Kory getting shaded for Babs didn't happen 20 years ago or I've missed something😭 because if it's something related to retcons, those unfortunately happens a lot (I myself am not a fan of Dick and Babs being childhood sweethearts, for example). That's just DC for you unfortunately, and I do get that it can piss off, I agree on that part...
But your last point still doesn't sit right with me. Sure it's a beloved ship but if one haven't read anything about DickBabs or Barbara herself, saying you hate them still does not make sense to me. Because how would you know they're bad without even trying to read of them? Just because they get in the way of your ship? Or because of misinformation spread on the internet from haters who'll make up anything to spread hate?
